I really enjoyed the Sakura Wars TV series. I thought that it had a great story and the characters really won me over. Just about every single OVA has been terrible though. I really wish that they would bring the games over. ~_~

Oh and in my review pile this week is Toward The Terra (Bandai), Air TV, Devil May Cry and xxxHolic.

finished Elfen Lied. i liked it. gonna have to write a review of it this week along with... Hataraki Man.

i enjoyed Gundam Seed. def one of the better new Gundam franchises. though in terms of a new franchise paying true homage to its roots, Macross Frontier is where it's at! laugh

Elfen Lied was pretty cool. I could have done without the excessive blood though. As far as the Gundam franchise goes i enjoyed Gundam Wing as well. Even if it was dry as powder....

Anyway, I'll have to check out Macross Frontier. I've heard of it, but I haven't gotten around to watching it yet.

to each their own. i just couldn't get into it for whatever reason. all the characters seemed like they were only half there most of the time. it wasn't bad, only so-so for me.

finished and posted my Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon review. all this talk of reliscencing the manga and anime and i just had to. now i'm torn tween Hataraki Man, Elfen Lied, and Pretty Gaurdian Sailor Moon (which someone needs to license). i'm going to do all of them, it's just my muse hasn't decided which one i am doing first. probably Elfen Lied since it's licensed and BSSM was my unlicensed review.

in the que to watch... not quite sure. been catching up on Emily of New Moon along with the newest episodes of Queen Millenia and Daughter of Twenty Faces. i haven't bought much new anime because AWA is a week or so away and i plan on catching up on a lot of box sets there laugh

i know the excessive blood was a turn-off for a lot of people, but Elfen Lied wouldn't have been itself without it. it had more purpose than some other anime i have seen with excessive blood and splatter and no purpose.

Macross Frontier is the shizz!! check it out laugh

IRIA is one of thoee go-to anime i can pop in at any moment and sit through all of it. excellent anime, and one of Aya Hisakawa's best earlier works. as for now, i'd say her role as Yoko in 12 Kingdoms is her best role of the 21st century. Hisakawa-san rose to new heights as Yoko's seiyuu.

i've heard good things about Kurau Phantom Memory and it's on my to-buy list, and Shana 2 is waiting to be watched. any news as to whether season 2 has been licensed?

excellent laugh now it just needs a boxset.
btw, popped you a PM with a link to the KG2 teaser which i found on youtube. i warn you though. once you watch it, you'll be just as tortured as the rest of us since they haven't followed through frown they could even do it as a 2 hour movie or something. that'd kick much booty if done right. but still, i'm shooting for a tv series.
