I am all caught up with my subs and have started to eat away at my DVD backlog that is......... so very, very deep right now. I hate and love the endless backorder list I have with rightstuf right now. I love it because I am catching up with nothing coming in, but I hate it because I know that at some point all that Bandai and Funi stuff is going to hit the rightstuf loading dock and my CC is going to be reeling in pain.

But I am about to slice open xxxHolic for the first time and hope to get all 4 volumes and movie watched by this weekend. Can’t guarantee anything however. Does any one know the order that the movie is with the anime? Movie first, anime first, or is the movie smashed in the middle some place? Same way with Tsubasa actually.

unlike with the first CCS movie, there really isn't a particular episode/moment in xxxHolic where you need to watch the movie, but having seen a few volumes of the series would be beneficial to getting the most out of it in terms of characterization and such.

thankfully, that bad habit is far far far better than it used to be and in all honesty, until Blood+ came out, it was something i hadn't run across/heard about in at least a year. for commercial anime, that's a pretty good record smile

I started to re-watch (before i dozed off) Legend of Lemnear and was suprized to find that, with the exception of a word or two, it was pretty much a "dubtitle" movie. Only one i came across so far...

i haven't watched it dubbed so i can't make a direct comparison, but Lemnear was an older anime which didn't get the proper love it deserved on vhs much less dvd. a shame, imo, but considering it was a CPM project, i'm not too surprised. their track record is spotty to say the least.

Although i prefer subs, however with all the talk about dubtitles i turned it on just for laughs and found it to be one.

With the remnants of Hanna coming this weekend, good enough excuse to stay in and watch anime. Probably going to start with the OVA's for Ah My Goddess since i haven't seen those for a while. Maybe Kiddy Grade too. I'll see what the day brings.

On a side note Moribito-Guardian of the Sacred Spirit is up for pre-order!!Wish i had that for this weekend smile

hanna is long gone for me. we only had a smidgen of rain and wind from her yesterday. now i'm currently keeping an eye on Ike.

Kiddy Grade is awesome. i just wish they'd make the second season they teased us/me about. Moribito is Amazing. i am so happy this is finally coming out on dvd. i'm tempted to pick up the novel(s) since they are being translated.

got one disc left of Elfen Lied which i'll watch tonight. everything is coming full circle. i'm also going to make this anime one of my two reviews this Sunday. i think the large point and msg of this anime gets lost amidst the graphic violence.

not sure what else i'll be watching this weekend. the possibilities are endless smile
