The Yoshida interview was pretty good, although I was a liitle bit disappointed that it was never revealed as to what was the situation as to how Bandai took Gurren Lagann away from ADV. Still, though, it was a very informative interview, and I think Yoshida will do a great job at Bandai.

I'm probably going to rent Vexille after listening to Marie's review of the movie. It sounds like an interesting movie to check out, but I didn't see the Appleseed movie and I didn't like the Resident Evil movies, so it may not be a movie I would enjoy as much as others would (especially action junkies). Still I think it's worth a look IMO.

The melodies aren't too bad, but as for the rapping, yeah I have to agree that it wasn't pleasant to listen to. Rap and the Japanese language is like oil and water - it just doesn't mix sick .

Sorry if any of you had trouble listening to this week's cd. I chose it because it was the only genre on JapanFiles.com that I hadn't featured yet. I know Hip Hop/Rap isn't that common on the Japanese music scene but I thought this cd was toe-tapper smile

If anyone has any JapanFiles.com cd suggestions for future episodes, I'll see what I can do!

It was an interesting interview. I'm not really all that interesting in Gurren Lagann myself, but it was nice to see a little bit of what was going on behind the scenes.

Please don't play music from more than one CD per episode if you can help it. Unless the hosts act more like DJs. In AT E64, the was a song with haunting vocals and music that intriqued me and I would have like to heard more from those artists but with two CDs and no DJ, I had no idea which CD was being played. I'm not a huge music fan but I would have been willing to look into buying the CD if I only knew which CD to look at. Unfortunately, too busy to do much searching on my own and need all the help that I can get.
