In AT E64, the was a song with haunting vocals and music that intriqued me and I would have like to heard more from those artists but with two CDs and no DJ, I had no idea which CD was being played. I'm not a huge music fan but I would have been willing to look into buying the CD if I only knew which CD to look at. Unfortunately, too busy to do much searching on my own and need all the help that I can get.
If your player shows you the current time in the episode, you can look at the
show notes for that episode (all the way at the bottom), and see which song is being played. In our recent episodes, Nick's been using just one CD, but usually there's one of the tracks from it featured on the Fresh Cuts from Japan CDs.
When we first started using the JapanFiles CDs, we considered doing something DJ-style during the episode with them. It just didn't work out given the short duration of a lot of the clips we're using - too much talking over the music. A compromise was to put the time and track information in the show notes so people could still find the exact music we're playing.
