Same here. Seirei no Moribito is a much anticipated release for me. Ikkitousen: Dragon Destiny is one i saw one ep and that was enough. Hopefully we'll see some more info on these soon.

I'm still holding out for news on Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha. Rumors had it that Geneon retained a translator after they otherwise closed shop.

Comments at the Funimation and Bandai pannels at ACEN '08 make me think that there are a number of series which may end up as a pre-packaged deal from Geneon.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Funi pick up the Tenchi franchise and Black Lagoon. They just sort of fit over there now, especially with the 2nd season of Black Lagoon done but never released.

For me this is just o.k. I tried Black Lagoon but somehow could't get into it. Revy(?) was just a little over the top for me. As for Tenchi i've heard a lot about it but haven't tried it.

Assuming that my speculation, which is something on the order of third-generation speculation, has any aire of truth, I'm going to guess that anything left incomplete would not be cost effective for another studio to pick-up. Completed series, or series which do not have releases may be attractive. Completed series would have little production cost beyond the production of the DVD and associated materials. Un-started series may be slightly less attractive as they have aged in the market and have lost some of that fresh-series appeal.

Black Lagoon nor the majority of the Tenchi! universe captivated me; though, I do enjoy the Magical Project S and have Sasami on pre-order.

I hope someone does something with the titles. I just recently went on a search for Paradise Kiss. The box set is pretty much sold out everywhere including RightStuf, and I ended up buying a Chingrish edition from HK. So far I've only seen one legit copy on eBay going for 100 USD plus shipping. If you guys know a place to get out of print stuff, I'd appreciate a pm for reply.

I completely forgot about Geneon obtaining Zero no Tsukaima but I'm pining for some of that DVD action too.

gawd, i love my Revy because she IS over the top. it's strictly my opinion/take on Black Lagoon, and the first anime review i wrote so a bit rough, but if it helps offer some insight...

as for Tenchi, i love the original storylines. i just couldn't get into the spin-offs. my fav is still the original OVAs, the first movie, and the most recent OVA release which tied up the majority of the loose strings from the initial Tenchi OVAs.

gotta love me some Ryoko. Ryoko and Revy should go drinking together, though i feel for the bar and town in which they do so laugh
