I second the rescueing of Rozen Maiden. I know I can only dream, but that is what this thread is about.

All of these titles I am about to list are titles that I would JUMP to buy, with no afterthought.

I think the titles in bold would be good things for the North American anime community, but the things that aren't are just things I dream for and personally long after more. XD

Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan + Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan 2006

This is a must-liscense. Reasons being that many people that do not know Dokuro-chan would be interested in it, and there are many fans of the show already that are dying to get this series into their collections. The story, characters, and animation are superb, and the story is very funny. Out of all of these I'm suggesting, this one needs to be liscensed. It'll definantly sell well.

Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni + Kai

Many people were very disapointed when Geneon went bankrupt and just left this title. Fans of this show would definatly continue the show if it was picked up again and new fans would get a new chance to buy it. Once again, the characters, animation, art, and especially story are amazing in this show and many people are now interested in the whole "tsundere/nice boat" thing. Also since Yen Press just liscensed the manga, this would be the perfect time to lisecense it.

ToHeart ~Remember my memories~ + ToHeart2 + ToHeart2 OAV + ToHeart2 ad

Okay, you guys already liscensed ToHeart (I'm a HUGE fan of the games), I'd never seen the anime before, but you guys did an amazing job, all for such a small, loveable series. Everything you guys did with it was perfect. The advertising, translation, DVD covers, extras, I was amazed how much was put into it. However, I suggest that maybe you guys leave out the dub. Not many people want dubs, and the people who do won't want ToHeart. Anyways, It would be a complete shame if you guys didn't at least finish it off. Even if you're not interested in ToHeart2, atleast liscense ToHeart ~Remember My Memories~. Definantly a very good sequel for the series and it ends it off better then the ending for ToHeart was.

With ToHeart2, the premise of the anime is quite different the the TV series for ToHeart. There are many fans of ToHeart2 online who recognise the characters from pictures who don't know what anime their from and advertised correctly could generate quite a bit of money. Also, there are many fans of the franchise who would love to buy the TV series. The OAVs are most definantly the best part of the series though. The animation, art, and story get even better in it which can attract even more people to the series.

I hope that you guys will consider these titles! I know many people would be very happy to see these series liscensed.

BTW, very smart choice to liscense Emma and Marimite. Marimite is going to be a huge seller! grin

Good luck for the future!

My list is kind of long, but the highlights are

Monster first and foremost. This is a GREAT one here. It is long, so that is probably not a selling point off the bat. But the way that it progresses, and the way that the story is presented is just wonderful. It always had me thinking about who was on what side, how they fit into the bigger story, who really did what, and not knowing how it would end. The animation and mood that it contains is a very refreshing change of pace from the average anime that I see all the time and if Viz doesn't get it, then it could be one of those flagship titles for Nozomi.

Hellsing Ultimate rescue. my room mate who really doesn't like anime at all really likes this one, and he was actually very disappointed when I told him that Geneon folded and I didn't know if/when the rest of it would get released. This version is SO much better then the first one and that one was pretty good. But the animation, story, and visuals that it has really made it a standout in my collection that I am proud to own. One thing, if it does get rescued then it would be a very big shame if it doesn't keep the same quality and attention to detail that the Geneon release got.

Aria, come on Gondola wuv can't be denied forever people.

Spice and Wolf, it is only a matter of time before this one comes across the waters. It was so popular that any one would just be crazy to turn it down if they want a reasonable amount of money for it.

...Heh. Heh, heh, heh.

As much as I would LOVE for that to be true, that ain't ever happening in R1. Not a chance, the R1 mainstream does not flock to prim and proper girls in long skirts walking quietly and drinking tea (and hell, their loss! Marimite <3).

I think TRSI knew that when they licensed it though, and thus their break-even point should be reasonably low enough that it still ought to turn a profit for them. Or so I hope anyway. The fact that they went after it at all means (I hope) they must have done something right with To Heart, Super Gals and early numbers for Emma. ::shrugs::

I'll remain cautiously optimistic, but also realistic.

-Kyo Kara Maoh: This is my favorite anime ever, and it deserves to get picked back up. Just please, try to keep the same dub cast Geneon had. It was perfect.

-Rose of Versailles: I love this series and I'd give up a kidney to be able to buy it...but I'd prefer to just pay with normal money for a domestic release.

-Baccano: I've heard so much about it and I want to see it, but I'm not fond of watching anime online.

-Story of Saiunkoku: It deserved a chance, but pretty much died because of Geneon's death. I'd like a chance to try it out, too...

I'd like to throw my vote in with Galaxy Express 999. The only problem, I fear, is that even though there are many people that remember this show as a kid and I hear it mentioned often it is still a niche anime over here because it is so dated. I would love to see it though.

Other than that I'll add Gunslinger Girl Season 2 and the other books in the series.

Oh yes they do. When those girls then take those clothes off and…………I'll leave the rest to people's imaginations laugh

Seriously, it will sell among the hardcore, but it's not about to have massive mainstream success, as you said.

How about they try to market it to conservative religious groups kind of like what happened with Narnia? Okay, in the end, this would only spread the misperception that anime is the living incarnate of evil (for one tastefully implied lesbian theme), but at least they'll make a killing off of it.

Two COMPLETELY different things there.

By the way, more old school robot action would be nice.
