The reviews are really strong too, especially on the Blu-ray.

Well, ANN Shelf Life gave it a "perishable": http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/shelf-life/2013-02-18 ...

Hmm, clicking/reading posts straight from "active posts" has its disadvantages: I thought you were talking about http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=424 and was all confused about what you where refering to, then I read a few posts back and realized you were referring to "ef: A Tale of Memories"... wink

I never pay attention to Shelf Life. Over half of the titles I have enjoyed are in the Perishable section.

I was referring to the Fandom Post review. Chris really liked it and he has similar tastes as me.

Just got Magical Witch Puni Chan (the dubbed version), Kasimashi-Girl Meets Girl (the dubbed version-already have the old subbed only release) and Bakuman-this is really good-can't wait until they release more but since they cancelled it guess it won't happen.

The video above has a lot of cursing and violence & is totally inappropriate for anyone ever. Also it has a fair amount of spoilers. That having been said, it is the reason why I also ordered Mad Bull 34. It looks pretty amazingly ridiculous.

I've seen his review before. He's surprisingly good. I love the intro. I've seen KMFDM in concert. The video in the intro is from Yoshiiaki Kawajiri's short film Running Man, which was integral in the formation of my appreciation for the anime medium.

I have a DVD copy of a VHS rip of the dubbed version of all 4 episodes of Mad Bull 34 and have watched the first 2; it is definitely one of the all-time worst anime I have ever seen. Perhaps it was guilt over buying what amounts to a bootleg that led me to order it, along with the undeniable fact that it has some so-bad-its-good entertainment value when watched with a group.

Speaking of the music on that review, is that the same KMFDM song Manga Entertainment used to use on some of their ads?

Anyway, KMFDM is awesome.

I had that same DVD copy, but I gave it away, and bought the true R1 release.
I always liked it, lots of blood-n-Guts and Language.
I always thought that it would've made a good Hentai if they had just did a little more work on it.
There are scenes in ever episode where if they had gone just that little bit further, it would of been.

The one thing that bugs me about Bennett The Sage (the guy doing the reviews) is that he refuses to review anything brought over to the USA after 1999.
Yet in the background you clearly see a few that came out after that.

He did a review of the "naughty" Mezzo, but since Mezzo DSA came out after 1999 he never bothered with that.

Sorry Mr. Sage, but there are a ton of cool anime that came out after 1999...
Oh well I guess JesuOtaku can do those.

So since I kinda woke up early today, I went to the local BB.
Got Jubei-Chan since it was only $12.99.

Kinda random that they actually have Tiger & Bunny cheaper than my workplace does.
The Is This A Zombie was $4 more at BB.
