I thought it might be helpful to start a topic for information regarding voice actors and their aliases. Many anime fans are devoted to particular voice actors. Many voice actors are surprisingly prolific, and work in other fields; such as video games, commercials, movies, and music. Wanna gush about a voice actor? This is the topic. Maybe you would like to list the aliases of a voice actor, or enlighten us to a little known alias of a voice actor. Do it here. Maybe you've just become aware of an obscure role of one your favorite voice actors. Let us know. I would like to kick off this topic with a recent discovery of mine. Ever since having heard a particular voice actress cry out "Tsukasa!" in a little gem of an anime called Figure 17, as the character Hikaru; I've been hooked. Due to lack of credits; and due to an alias I've had the hardest time figuring out who this voice actress is. This wonderful voice actress is credited in but a few anime as Willow Armstrong. I simply love every character I hear her voice, particularly if it's similar to her "Hikaru voice". I quite often hear this voice actress, but can't find her in the credits. I've recently pieced the puzzle together. Willow Armstrong is in fact Lara Jill Miller. Willow Armstrong's has a fairly small list of roles, but Lara Jill Miller on the other hand has quite an impressive repertoire of roles.

Lara Jill Miller at ANN

Lara Jill Miller at Wiki

Lara Jill Miller at IMDB

Well here's one that a lot of people probably know:

David Lucas=Steve Blum

He used that in his early days, and is what is credited on Cowboy Bebop.

It was a pretty common thing back in the early dub days.
Since often a "union" voice actor would do a role for a non-union show.
Mostly due to anime not being unionized in the past.
Most California or New York VAs are part of the Screen Actors Guild.

BTW probably the guy with the most AKAs is Kirk Thorton.

I can say that some fans don't like people "calling out" voice actors.
Most likely cause it would be problematic for the actors in question if the unions found out.

While looking at who dubbed certain voices in Metal Fighter Miku.
I found that Michelle Ruff had done two of the main group of girls.

This was under one of her pseudonyms Georgette Rose, the other is Sophie Roberts.

Based on zrdb's warning, can anybody advise me on what I should or shouldn't post in this topic. I'd hate to offend anyone.

Kiku, I wouldn’t worry about it… grin

Anyone that would even feel that way in the slightest based off of what you’ve said so far would,
1st need to take their Med’s and 2nd need to get off the Forum.
Remember, this isn't the Fandom forum, it's the Anime Today forum moderated by Rightstuf

That's my Advice !
