Sweet!

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2013-01-21/unbreakable-machine-doll-light-novels-get-tv-anime

I really dig the manga of this title and I really hope this (the anime and manga) gets released in the US.

By commentaries do you mean the little side thing of chibi Kirito and Asuna talking about the episodes that are on the Japanese Blu-ray releases?

Sorry, I was talking about Nisemonogatari. It seems that the commentaries aren't included with our release.

But for the SAO commentaries, I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't included in our release as well.

According to other message boards I go to, the Oreimo Blu-Ray won't have the commentaries...

WhAAAT?!?!
That's gotta be a misunderstanding... since the Oreimo set IS basicly just the japanese
box set. If they aren't included that would indeed be a massive rip-off.

Hi, gang!

Just wanted to quickly drop by and let Oreimo fans know that Aniplex confirmed the imported Blu-ray set will include English-subbed character commentary videos. Hope this info helps!

Aniplex of America has a business model that emphasizes keeping prices high and print runs small. I would guess that if they ever decide to release Fate/Zero in a lower priced version, it won't be for several years.

Just to give you an example, R.O.D. the TV Series has apparently sold out, though it was released less than three years ago. They released it only in Blu-ray, and they never dropped the MSRP below $200, AFAIK. Another example is Madoka. Most companies now release series with 11-13 episodes in single box sets at around $50-70 MSRP, depending on format and dubbing/subbing. Madoka was released as three separate disks, and boasts an MSRP of $120. So, if you're hoping that AoA will do us a favor and drop their prices, or release an affordable box set, I'll just say "Don't hold your breath".

Well Read or Die had both the OVA episodes & the 26 episode series.
Both with dubs, and priced much much less than the recent releases.

Fate/Zero is 26? episodes for $800?

Oremio is 12 for $400?

Yeah, not gonna get my $ Aniplex.

Eh, to be fair to Aniplex,
Fate/Zero and Oreimo are imports.

If you're talking about fate/zero specificaly; I'd say we'll get a barebones dvd release of it in about two years for $250.
smirk
Sad thing is... I'd buy that. sweat
