Because, Boy-O-Boy, thatís some Mega Fanservice I'm looking at there !
I think it made me Blush a little bit.
( and that's saying a lot )
The pics simply under the name "Maken Ki" are from the anime. The pics under the name "Maken Ki Omake" are from specials that we can only hope and pray are on the home video release. Omake are sometimes included on home video releases, and are ofttimes quite naughty; although sometimes they are just funny or informative. Omake effectively means extras, but is also synonymous with the aforementioned unlicensed "fan art"; which is guaranteed to not be on the home video release. Sometimes omake is footage that was released on a special disc which was included in a monthly anime/manga magazine in Japan. These discs are also sometimes included in manga in Japan. 9 times outta 10, these will never see the light of day stateside.
I've got my fingers crossed for the Maken Ki specials though. blush

As taken form the Anime/Manga subculture terminology topic in the Off Topic Discussions Forum:

Here's the page for Omake from the the ANN Lexicon: Omake

Here's the page from the Wiki Glossary of anime and manga: Omake

Hilarious... the pic from the Wiki page. laugh For some odd reason I can remember the Hyper Battle Video from Gunbuster plain as day.

I wouldn't go that far. I say it's more like 50/50, because Funimation and Sentai are pretty good at acquiring them.

Nope, but I always get tempted to read the manga when it pops up at import sites I visit.

Hmmm, I'm curious; because earlier talk in this topic mentioned a dub in progress... but I haven't seen hide nor hair since. I believe it was Funi that had it, which bode well for the inclusion of any specials...
