In this thread we post our anime DVD collection. I'll start it out DVD Shelf 1 Did your collection appear in ANN's Shelf Life column at some point? Maybe its just a similar shelf, but your collection looks familiar.

Sadly no, my shelf wasn't in ANN's Shelf Life column. That would of been cool though. And yeah I've seen quiet a few people with the same exact shelf as me. It's only like 30 dollars at walmart. So that's probably why.

Very nice collection Sian, I really love your figures. But my favorite thing on your shelf has to be that Read or Die picture in the first pic. Where did you get that? Also that's even more awesome that most of your collection comes from rightstuf.

About the the ROD picture that you mention, it's one of those pencil board that came with each DVD. I really love that pencil board so i've put it in a photo frame. If i remember correctly it was the one that came with the DVD 1 + Box.

This is a neat idea for a thread. Perhaps I'll work up the nerve to post some shots of my collection in the future but it's not at its most photogenic right now. In the meantime, perhaps I can offer an image of a collection of a different sort: Living Room CollectionIn an attempt to quarantine my anime addiction to a single room in the house I engaged in a large-scale shelf building project in my den last June. The irony is as pictured and the dining room has remained the unofficial repository since. Oh well. What the heck do I need with a dining room anyway?

Great collection Harley. Excellent foresight with building in a little extra room for future growth. I'm afraid I've built myself into a bit of a corner with my premade shelves. You've a great setup so, if you think of it, please post new pics when you've got them stained and finished. I will take new pictures when thay are finished. I Just bought this house and had to get my dvds of the floor is why I did not finish them out from the start. thanks flatfour

Nice. A couple of thoughts: 1- I am soooooo glad I don't collect DBZ. Those things eat up vast amount of precious shelf space. 2- I see the majority of your stuff is alphabetized. You are a braver man than me. 3- Really nice jobs with the shelf. I'll probably set up something similar when I moved. I currently have all my DVDs in a large walk-in closet *mostly* on bought shelves, and I am completely out of room. Too bad I lack carpentry skills.

I fail. Ow, my pride. I cannot win against such zeal. See, i prefer quality over quantity so i have much less than you guyz. Maybe 15-17 series. Mostly box sets....

nope i have no idea what shelf life is. i use flickr edit: i figured out what you were talking about and submitted pics of my collection to them. I don't think its big enough to get published but by the end of summer it should be a whole lot bigger. That's great and good luck. Bamboo picks collections of all different sizes and yours has plenty of visual appeal. I wouldn't be surprised see it show up in the next few weeks. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Took a number of years off collecting due to work being extriemly busy but started catching up last Nov and have been filling out a lot of stuff. Need to put up anotehr rack and re-arrange as have a bit more then 300 more titles waiting for space or on order. Yea, lots of stuff still sealed but have a over 20 weeks of vacation backed up right now.

It doesn't compare to some of the collections so far but here is mine. And my first post on this forum. :P My sister has an entire box from the collection that she took off for Florida with when I moved to Kansas City and it had about 100 disks in it. I have no idea when I will get them back. And I really don't want to think about how much of this I have gotten from TRSI because I know it has to be at least half of it. Those Geneon sales the last couple of years hit me pretty hard. what I have of the collectionfirst shelfsecond shelfTHE THIRD shelfforth shelf

Oh, I post quite a bit at another anime board and I am a member over at AOD but don't post much over there.

My collection is absolutely TINY compared to a lot of these. However, I'll still post pics. These are a bit outdated, but not by a lot. They were taken around Christmas of this past year. My entire shelf First close-up2nd close-up 3rd close-upLast close-upBoxes 1 Boxes 2 Boxes 3 I've since gotten rid of the Moon Phase vol. 1 + box and my Fushigi Yuugi OAV set, and obtained a few other things, including Mushishi 1 + box, and I've also changed my layout a bit, kinda for the worse. I refuse to take new pictures, however, until I have my shelves and such how I want them. That'll mean getting rid of the big white thing in favor of a better shelf and changing the purpose of the 2nd shelf that some of my DVDs are in right now. So that will likely be in June.
