Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko is nowhere near the acid-trip weird and frenetic thing that the opener might lead you to believe. Yes, most of the characters are a bit eccentric (or seem so), but the ending song captures the feel of the series much better:

I liked it, and I plan to buy it, but I was disappointed that the series ended just as it was beginning to get interesting. I wish that there had been a second season so that we could have gone a little deeper down that rabbit hole. frown

Skipable. At least for me, was very bored of it after 2 episodes. It tries really hard to be funny with questionable situations, but to me it doesn't really pull it off.

I'm curious, because of all the positive reviews and chatter I've read online about it over the last year or so. I was wondering if there was any creedence to said chatter. I often find myself interested in things that are 180 degrees from mainstream.

Well the premise as I am sure you know is, his little sister is into ecchi and the like anime. He then spends the show trying to help her hide it with a hint of a sister/brother love relationship.

The character designs look good. Snaggletooth... kawaii!

I have to agree with Cheap One. I really don't see the humor in taking the hit (literally) so that your little sister can continue playing her incestuous (sis-con) eroge. Plus, I found that most of the characters were miserable, mean-spirited people, so I had a hard time sympathizing with any of them.

I will admit, though, that it is well written and has high production values.
