Kinda sad now frown Of that massive order I listed previously, received news this morning that the condensed version of Berserk is actually cancelled and not offered anymore... if I still want it, I need to pay exactly double the price and for a whole brick of cases, not one convenient pack.

Lame frown I'm against spending more money and taking up valuable shelf space unnecessarily

I ordered this one a month or two ago from RightStuf, and it's just one case. It still appears to be available. Fair warning, it's a stackpack.

The new releases are apparently some movies that re-tell the story.
Though eventually they will get past the "go read the manga, suckers!" ending that the original series has.

I read some mixed reviews on the first one.
Apparently some of the battles are CGI, and they look a bit "wonky".
Though the good news is they did get the dub voices from the series to do the movies.

I will rent it, before I decide to purchase or not.
Kinda wonder if the kinda epic music is still involved in the movie.

Serial Experiments Lain showed up in my mailbox today. What an awesome set. I count myself lucky to have the opportunity to experience this historical anime. Thank you Funimation; not only for allowing me to watch this legend for the first time, but also for doing such a nice job with the release. The line art book is really big and there's a booklet detailing the work that went into the Blu-ray restoration. I'm curious to know if changes were made to both versions, or just the Blu-ray. I'm glad that Lain was released as a combo pack. The chipboard artbox is great too. I've already put the sticker on the side one of my anime DVD shelves.
