I always wondered what does "hard subs" mean?
I think it means that when you're listening to the Japanese language version, you can't turn the subtitles off. Or maybe it means that the subtitle text has been made a part of the video image, instead of residing in a separate file.

Well they're using some pretty iffy subs subs that's why.
Plus... it's just an overall cheap thing to do.
What irks me more is the cramming they're going to do with it.
You know the image quality is going to suffer for that.
