I'm big fan of pinball and I'm just curious if there are any other pinball fans here?

After I got out of the Army
In the Mid to Late 1980ís ( Out of our Army Surplus Store ) My Brother and I use to run Paintball Games and Tournaments.
Back when all there was, was the Original 007 Nelspot pump action Tree Marker Gun.

( The pictures below are not from anything we did, itís just to give you an idea of what Iím talking about )

One thing we would do is modify them for use with larger Air Tanks ( normally straight out the back to double as a stock--Not shown above-- )
by bypassing the little cartridge you use to have to load into the handle.

( Itís the same Gun you would see people use in the Movies as a tranquilizer Dart Gun )

Original Nelspot ( showing the compressed air cartridge in the handle and the pump action Handle )

But we sold everything to a Guy in Corbin Ky, back in the early 1990ís

I'm sure that's what it was....
But it did cause me to think about and remember that time I spent being involved with Paintball...
Ah, good times

I use to love playing pinball, you never see them around anymore though. At least I never see any around.

I think that a good machine would do really well in any number of the local taverns/bars where I live. I would imagine that maintenance costs have skyrocketed due to their current scarcity. Maybe they'd make a comeback if they could be combined with the payout concept of a slot machine. Maybe it would payout if you got an obscenely high score or something to that effect; although it wouldn't be financially feasible for the owner if a pinball wizard came and cleaned out your machine all the time. Then again, pinball wizards aren't in it for the money. Then again (again), maybe I've hit just the right note to bring the pinball machine back?

I've been playing video game pinball on my PS3 lately. Farsight Studios (The Pinball Arcade) and Zen Studios (Zen Pinball, Pinball FX, Marvel Pinball) are really doing a good job at making realistic pinball physics and emulations.

As for real machines, my local amusement part has a classic arcade with five pinball machines. I stop by a few times in the Summer to play them.

No, the cost has pretty much stayed the same. That's because Stern Pinball is still making machines and parts.
