So, the only art books I have are Der Mond: Art of Neon Genesis Evangelion and Apple Artbook (the first one). Apple is awesome because its not just an artbook is has like manga previews or sumthin in it. EVERYTHING in the Apple Artbook is sweet to look at. I need to buy a specialty scanner or sumthing so i can properly scan some pics i it.

What artbooks do you all have?

I don't really buy artbooks, but I have a couple. I have the Art of Bleach and the Art of Naruto. I had to get these, what can I say it's like were living in the age of Naruto and Bleach if you know what I mean. Both of them have become really popular.

I'll probably look into buying more in the furture.

I've been thinking about buying them too.

OMG, It's been almost, I dunno, EIGHT months since I ordered my Flamboyant Artbook, and it finally got shipped yesterday. O_O thats a long time to wait. I think it was on order from the manufacturer when I ordered it. Then it went to pre-order status like 2 months ago. Hey, least it got shipped tho.

Okay, you asked for it so here it is. Bear with me, it took an effort to get all this together and photographed.
When I think of art and Japan it seems to encompass a great deal. There is a lot of Japanese culture that is artistic to me.

i used to buy artbooks, but found that after i looked at them once, they just sat on my shelf and collected dust. so, now i don't and i save the money for bills or my endless backlist of anime and other various dvds.

I have no life and I am always low on money, but when I get home and look at my shelves I am happy. I find tons of inspiration for writing from art so I am looking at them from time to time.

Whoever said money can't buy happiness wasn't an otaku.

What I really want are:

Makoto Shinkai Artbook
Story of Saiunkoku artbook (i'm kicking myself for not getting it when I saw it at Anime Expo)
Serei no Moribito Artbook/Guidebook

I've been wanting get into collecting art books lately. The only one I own current is the Fate/Stay Night art book which I love. ^_^ But there are so many others that I could stand owning such as from Kannagi or Tsubasa.

I just ran across some more Range Murata images. I freaking LOVE the art style of Range Murata. The way that it is drawn, the subject matter could almost be art photographs from the 20s and 30s. The "real life" looks of the characters, obviously anime style but almost like they could be real people kind of thing. But I always feel like I need to take a shower because I am so dirty for having looked at it. If I were to come by a book or some prints I would display them, but I would almost be afraid to do so.

For some time now I have been thinking about picking up the Robot line of art books. And between barns and noble and borders I think I could get all 8 of them except for vol 3.

I would love to have an artbook of Range Murata. Right now I have a few copies of Robot and a couple of figures based on his work. His style and designs are amazing. I think I know what you're talking about some when his work might raise some eyebrows.wink

I got very lucky and found it at an online store I frequent for such things. I just checked and they are already sold out of that book but still have an My-Otome artbook in stock.frown

I really like that YUA book! Is it still generally availble, or nearly impossible to find? Speaking of impossible, I wish I could get my hands on the Trinity Blood art book, but I doubt I'd want to pay whatever it's currently getting.

I just got the Aria: Avvenire artbook this weekend. I didn't think the local tiny shop would have anything Aria but lo and behold they did. Yay me!

By any chance would you know if it's more of a "best of" from the original 3 artbooks or is it more art in addition to them?
