These are anime you might as well forget about buying cause you won't find it. I'll mention a couple.

  1. Aura Battler Dunbine
    • Eric found some. I don't own it but was lucky enough to rent the whole series.
  2. Prefectural Earth Defense Force
    • This has been on my wish list forever.

Feel free to add to the list.

Just looked and found some sites that have Aura Battler Dunbine used.
Of course it's way cheaper to buy the singles than the box sets.

I will give you the Prefectural Earth Defence Force.
Though a place did have the LP.

You might want to mention "unless you want to pay a ton for them" in the post.

I'm glad you found all the singles. I remember a few were volumes were hard to obtain. I've thought about buying a Pioneer LD player. Looks like they stop selling them a few years ago. frown

The first 10 volumes should be very easy to find. It's vols. 11 and 12 that are a nightmare.

Yeah, those are on that (Amazon) site, but are really really expensive.

Although not part of the original Aura Battler Dunbine series, TRSI has somewhat related titles. All three DVD's of "Wings Of Rean" are in stock and available, but in limited supply; about 40-some copies of each left. "Garzey's Wing" is also available at TRSI.

Some I've found that next to impossible to find at any price-Card Captor Sakura. Maison Ikkoku box set 8, most Animeigo stuff because they let all their anime licenses expire.

I wanted to collect Zipang. You can get Vol. 1-5 cheap and Vol. 7 isn't too pricey. Volume 6 price is what made the decision for me. It's way too high.
The same problem with Mobile Suit Gundam. Buying it piecemill was out of the question. Now with the Complete Collection box sets, it's back on my list. smile

I too had thought about Zipang, and like you I decided against it.
It may come to be a bad decision ( not buying it ), if the price continues to go up
Or a good one if it ever gets a re-release.

I waited for and was so happy when the Mobile Suit Gundam 079 Collection started coming out.
I’ve been putting a Gundam Collection together,( not all of them, but the ones I want )
and having the Original Series is mandatory for my Collection.

And even more so when they came out with an R1 release of.
Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 Complete Collection
