Like I said, I don't want to provide spoilers. The only thing that I'll add is that there are some things that I'm just not willing to watch, and once I know that a show has those sorts of events in it, I'm just not willing to watch it.

I saw "Modern Magic Made Simple" on Crunchyroll. It's called "Yokuwakaru Gendai Mahou" there. The writers bring a lot of interesting concepts to the table, but they don't really develop them well. There is some time-jumping involved, so you have to pay pretty close attention. Also, I just didn't get the ending. I suppose I should have watched the show a second time. Maybe I would have understood it better if I had.

I have-it was pretty good but not exceptional.

This is very similar to the topic "shows you are considering to buy"
Or something like that on ANN.

I guess I have a couple:

Kaze no Stigma
Noir
Heat Guy J

I don't mind a few spoilers, just tell me if they are worth the $?
Note: Kaze & Heat Guy at SAVE prices.

Noir is one of my favorites. A good 'girls with guns' mystery/action/adventure. A series that i'd highly recommend you get and enjoy ASAP! Not to mention also is that the soundtrack is great too which also adds to the enjoyment of the series.

"Kaze no Stigma" has some interesting episodes in it. There is a story arc about clones that raises some significant moral questions. There's also an episode that shows how a non-mage can deal with a new mage who's drunk on his own power. And it's interesting to see magic use portrayed as an underworld-style subculture. I'd say that its worth the price of an S.A.V.E. edition.

Rearding Noir, if you get into it. Noir is part of what is commonly known as the "Girls With Guns Trilogy". The other 2 titles are Madlax and El Cazador De La Bruja. I've only seen El Cazador De La Bruja, but I've got the other 2 in my unwatched pile. El Cazador De La Bruja was fantastic!

I haven't seen Kaze no Stigma ( it is on my buy list ) BUT the other two are worth buying...

Ah, The "Girls With Guns" Trilogy
Noir
Madlax
El Cazador De La Bruja

They are all very similar and very different from each other.
I love’em all, they have stood up to many viewings.
I think that Madlax is the most Out There one of the bunch ( I’m not saying that as a negative ), but I love it as much as the other two.

I got the first half of Kaze No Stigma last year at a local bargain store and watched the first 3 episodes and totally lost all interest in it. I only paid 3 bucks for it so no big loss.

I've got one.
I kinda want to Vampire Knight(both seasons), I know the Craptastic job Viz did with the complete collections so I'm opting to get the singles instead. Of course this means more money. About 100 instead of about 40-60.
As a result I'm a far more weary of picking this title up.
I've read some reviews and they seem to feel rather "meh" as to how it ends.
So for those who've seen it, is it worth picking up the singles or should I just skip this one over entirely?

I bought as a Complete Collection, Season one.

and I bought Season two a Volume at a time.
Needless to say I did go back and buy The VOLUMES for Season One.

I'm much happier and my ( six volume ) six disc two Seasons complete collection
and all the disc have matching dvd disc art.

GET THE VOLUMES... I learned the hard way ( douple sided disc my butt mad)
