I got LEGO Harry Potter Years 5-7 for the DS, and a PC game called Civilization 2 The Test of Time.

Hooray… the DVD’S of Cabin Boy and Buckaroo Banzai: Across The Eight Dimension, just came in.
Now I can get rid of the old and worn VHS copies that I had, the video from these VHS tapes is so bad from over use,
it will be like watching the Movie for the first time all over again…

Buckaroo Banzai? I love Peter Weller. Where'd you find that little gem on DVD? I had that one too. But alas, like my Robocop Collection; it was on VHS.

I odered Vol. XXII of Mystery Science Theater 3000 and the RiffTrax version of Planet of Dinosaurs from Amazon which have already shipped. I also got season 9 of Law and Order and pre-ordered season 10.

I also just received my Blu-Ray copy of Santa Claus, a batsh*t insane-and creepy-Xmas film made in Mexico and brought to the US by the inimitable K Gordon Murray. I originally saw this as an episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000; after watching the documentary about the film included on the official release I decided to get this. The BD has the original uncut Mexican version (with English subtitles) and the K Gordon Murray version (which MST3K had to edit for time constraints).

"Bats???t insane... I love that. I just laugh heartily and think to myself: "Who thinks of these wonderful adjectives?" I'm reminded of another wonderful adjective I read in another topic by J.E.S.: "craptastic". Who says vocabulary isn't fun?

Anyhoo... I just bought:

The War Of The Worlds The Complete Series (circa 1988)
The Complete Metropolis (with the legendary 24 mins. of restored footage)
Metropolis Special Edition (Giorgio Moroder)

(funny song from that movie)

Speaking of fun songs from movies, I always got a kick out of this one from the original The Blob.
