I guess the point was to just go with the flow as far as what happens in school.

I must say that Japan has some weird ghost stories.
As well as some weird ghosts.

If you're into Japanese ghost stories you should check out the Hanako and the Terror of Allegory manga. I think Rightstuf is the only place to get all 4 volumes at a decent price.
You know, if you don't already own it.

Haunted Junction is always good for some laughs.

Hakugei: The Legend of Moby Dick

Overall, it was a pretty good show. It had a few snags and some of the humor can rub some people the wrong way (it didn't bother me). However, I really liked how they captured the original story in a Sci-Fi setting.

Okay, I'm all done with Battle Athletes & Battle Athletes Victory

After 3 Volumes of Ova’s ( 6 episodes ) and 8 Volumes of the Series ( 26 episodes )
I can say I enjoyed it, but I don’t think I could go through it again.
It was just so mentally draining to watch Akri repeatedly go from Zero to Hero. crazy
( She is seriously Bi-Polar )

How many times can you ( the same character ) go from a total mental mess of a loser,
to kicking butt in a super human way ? ( in the field of sports )
I think it averaged out to a 4 episode cycle.( more or less )

And the last Volume, episodes 23-26 took some kind of crazy turn with a little resurrection thrown in.

Battle Girls: Time Paradox (Blu-ray) - I really enjoyed this show. It's simple and it has been done several times before (a girl spirited away to Feudal Japan). However, it's the small little things that really made it enjoyable. For example, Hideyoshi doesn't wear her school uniform throughout the entire show like in several others (InuYasha, Escaflowne). She actually wears an outfit that corresponds to the time period, so she can blend in. Also, the animators put a lot of detail into the art design.

It's these small little things that really made this anime shine.

Rating: A-

Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children - I finally got this title out of my backlog. It's a nice popcorn action movie and I really enjoyed the anime short (The Last Order) that came with it.

Rating: B

I know how you feel B-Dub.
I really enjouyed the OVA, and I thought the TVseries was okay...
Til those last few episodes...
then I was like... really?
REALLY?!?
But on a nice note, did you catch that Jess completed her "dream"?
It was subtle, but I really liked...
Click to reveal..
That she did have what it took to beat Akari's mom

That made me happy to see. smile
So will you keep the series, or chuck it to the FYE pile?

Well, just for the sake of making room for new arrivals, I did put it on the Shelf that makes up the sell to fye pile.
The whole thing ( Ova’s & Series ) takes up a lot of shelf space 11 Individually Cased Volumes.

But sadly, I do not see myself re-watching this one, but I won’t see it split up,
So this is one where if fye won’t buy’em all, then I’ll just keep taking them back till they do ( or never do )

You know the only part of the Series or Ova, that you can get at Rightstuf is
Battle Athletes Victory DVD 2 ( Doubt & Conflict ) and the counter reads 11 copies left.

And Here I Am with The Whole Set, Ova‘s & Series. just sitting on my shelf.

I don't want to keep'em, I'm sure someone out there would want them ! wink

I do hope they find a good home some day
grin

I'm starting to feel kinda similar to what BWBoddy said about Battle Athletes Victory.
So I kinda doubt I would want it in my collection.
