Did you guys here about this its crazy i use to love reading Marvel Comics.
I hope Disney doesn't completely destroy the brand by making all the books fan friendly to all ages that would be horrible.
Or maybe Disney will make some really bad team ups like Hannah Montana meets the X-Men.
This whole deal is a bad omen for Marvel IMO...

I think everyone has heard of the news by now. It'll probably be business as usual for Marvel. I doubt we're going to see a lot of Disney and Marvel cross overs. The only thing I can see happen is all future Marvel cartoons, movies and games will be made by Disney or Disney will be heavily involved in the production.

Disney does more than just cartoons & family films.

The fears that people hold regarding this merger are really quite unfounded.

Agreed, Disney owns so much it is ridiculous. They are also smart enough to separate the "Disney" stuff from what is not, so there is no reason to fear.

I am not sure if Hannah Montana is Disney myself that was just the first Disney like show that popped into my head.

Well, I'm not fan of Disney or Marvel, so I don't know the specifics, either. I just know the types of things they generally put out.

I rememeber when Splash hit the theaters, and everyone made a big deal about Disney branching out with more mainsteam adult titles. I was still in high school.

You are correct though! Hanna Montana is a Disney property.

Since this is in the Gaming Discussions section anyway:

Perhaps we will be able to see a Marvel themed world in an upcoming Kingdom Hearts game if the deal allows for it. That would be awesome.
