If I can find a good recipe for gyoza I'll try to post it here.
I bought steamer inserts for my pans a couple of years ago with these in mind but haven't gotten around to trying them yet.

Did you ever wonder..... so here I am wondering around some other country, possibly in Europe or Asia, and man I could use some American food.
We all know that Mexican and Chinese food in the US is not really correct and among others are more of a style of food.
What kind of food am I to find short of fast food over seas that is called American?

The problem is, the stuff is mad expensive. Does anyone know how I can get the stuff relatively cheap? I will buy in bulk if necessary. Oh and there are no Asian Groceries anywhere near me. I don't exactly live in an ethnic part of the country (we literally have 100% white towns not far from me.) ^_^;; Fortunately, we have some good Asian and international grogeries here, so I haven't yet tried ordering actual food online, only cookware/tableware. In fact, I think that Tentacle Grape stuff was my first online "food item" order. lol
Anyway, I was curious about online stores too, so I might start surfing to see what I can find. If I find any good online retailers for rice, nori, etc., I'll P.M. you. Please let me know if you find any.
On a side note, I have heard/read (from multiple sources) that Catalina Offshore Products is a reliable place to order sushi/sashimi-garde fish, but I haven't used them.

Those little things really are good, but a single order is not very filling, even for an appetizer. I've never had "all-you-can-eat" gyoza, though. lol I agree. It's easy to down like 8 of em without feeling any kind of fullness. I do find them on buffets from time to time but since I appear to be the only one who wants them they've usually been sitting there for a couple of hours and it's like trying to gnaw through an old shoe only to find that by that time, the inside tastes worse than the outside.

there is a Chinese food place really close to the UMKC campus a couple blocks south of where I work that has some VERY good fried dumplings, or in Japan gyoza. I could literally just sit there and down 3 orders of them for a meal.

That's why I don't eat at buffets. Well, that and children... nasty little things. *shiver* Hey, if they're cooked well enough kids aren't all that bad. Soylent Stir Fry is great if you add a dash of hoison sauce.
