Over the last few days, multiple storms have  continued to pound the Midwest with rain and other severe weather. While those of us here at Right Stuf have been luckier than most, we are currently short-staffed and having to deal with transportation delays caused by the closures of several major roads and shipping carrier hub issues related to flooding. We had almost 3" of rain just last night, and with the heavier rains to the north, we expect the worst of the flooding hasn't even hit yet.

As a result of these aftereffects – combined with the very positive response to the current sale – we are backed up both in our warehouse and with outgoing shipments. The Web site is not affected and is operating as usual, so keep those orders coming! However, slight delays with the answering of phone and e-mail inquiries, as well as the shipping of outgoing orders, are likely.

We apologize for the inconvenience, and thank you, in advance, for your understanding. We are doing everything in our power to work through this situation as quickly as possible.

Our thoughts and best wishes also go out to our fellow Midwesterners who are drenched in what seems like never ending rain and overflowing basements, storm sewers, and rivers.   To see some pictures of the flooding in our area, check out http://www.iowaflood.com and http://www.flickr.com/photos/synthesizers/sets/72157605546285198/.

As long as the computer room is safe from the flood waters.

The Cincinnati (OH) branch of the place I work at, lost their computer room from the flood.

Our offices and warehouse are in Grimes, which is a fair distance from the flooding that's going on downtown and in surrounding areas. Aside from some water backing up into our offices, everything is nice and dry. We're extremely fortunate when I look at what a number of my friends are going through right now.

I'm not sure that would lighten their load any. Then they would need two piles, one for pickup and another for shipment.

Guys, I have been keeping an eye on the situation up there wile hanging out in front of our sat receivers at work. When the first reports of the flooding started to come in I was thinking of you. *no really, that was the first thought I had* I hope that you make it out safe and nothing happens to you or your family. Please take care of things that are important to you and hopefully this will pass soon and you can get back up too 100%.
