The Wii U is looking less interesting by the day. Not only do we need to pay $300 to $350 for the system, but it looks like the built in drive is pretty much useless
The 8GB (actually 7.2GB) and the 32GB (actually 29GB) drives have been rounded up and the system will require 4.2GB for itself. That means you only have 3GB of memory to work with if you buy the $300 model.
Nintendo recommends buying an external USB hard drive if you plan to buy DLC or games from its digital store.
