As I was walking down the aisle at a local store the other day, I heard a child speaking to his mother about some toys that were on the shelf.
"I want this one," he said. "Mewtwo is my FAVORITE Pokemon!" I'd say anime has arrived, although not necessarily in the form we had originally expected. Animation for adults has become Japanese Animation for all ages, as we see a whole new generation of fans come into the marketplace.
Anime in 1999 was more than just Pokemon, however. New volumes of Dragonball Z, more merchandise including graphic novels and toys, and new programs from all of the industry vendors made our catalog of available items explode to more than 4000! And they're all in this book!
Watch for new products, which are added monthly, by checking our website or by subscribing to our purchasing club, which gives you our quarterly newsletter and additional discounts and specials. The Got Anime members website should hopefully also be up by the time you're reading this.
Our website also has a great deal of anime information, including current product specials, an e-mail notification list, product reviews, cool con-tests, and much more! Check it out!
2000 should be another great year for us. We expect to add additional space this winter, which should allow us to double our capacity again. Our employees have worked hard to gain knowledge and keep up with demand, and as we continue to grow, our team should continue to get stronger.
There are some formatting changes in the new book which you need to know about. Preorders have been moved into the regular catalog, along with their estimated release date. However, these dates are subject to change, so call before you order just to be sure.
I'm always interested in your thoughts on how we can make our catalog more useful for you. Please feel free to e-mail me with your comments.
