In the last catalog, I mentioned we had surprises in store
for Right Stuf’s 20th Anniversary Celebration…
The first volume of The Third: The Girl With the Blue Eye,
released in cooperation with Kadokawa Pictures USA,
made its debut on the anniversary date of Right Stuf’s
founding, July 31. We’re very proud of this series, and
it’s great to know quite a few of you love it as much as
I do!
At Anime Expo, we announced our licenses for
Lost Universe and for both seasons of Emma: A Victorian
Romance. It’s not an exaggeration to say that North
American fans haven’t seen an anime like Emma, and
it is indeed a privilege to introduce this very distinctive
series to a new audience in a very special way.
Also at AX, we announced the re-branding of our
production division and the creation of its namesake
label, Nozomi Entertainment. The Japanese word that
inspired this name is a reminder of our focus on “what
fans want.” In addition to making it clear that we are
both an “anime superstore” and an “anime publisher,”
we are reaffirming our commitment to you – to continue
to serve anime fans the way we – as fans, ourselves – want to be served!
