Ah My Buddha Collection Available as a Litebox-style DVD Set

GRIMES, IA, March 12, 2014 — Anime producer Lucky Penny Entertainment is pleased to announce that the AH MY BUDDHA Collection will be available on June 3, 2014.

The DVD set will feature the complete 26-episode anime series, in a single DVD keepcase, with English audio, Japanese audio and English subtitles. On-disc extras will include clean openings and closings, promotional videos and the U.S. trailer.

Ah My Buddha, also known as “Amaenaide yo!!”, is based upon the manga (comic) by Toshinori Sogabe, which was originally serialized in Comic Gum anthology magazine and later collected into 7 volumes.

This 26-episode television adaptation of Ah My Buddha contains both Amaenaide yo!! (Season 1) and Amaenaide yo!! Katsu!! (Season 2). Ah My Buddha originally aired in Japan on TV Tokyo's anime satellite channel, AT-X. The first season aired from July to September 2005 and the second season ran from January to March 2006. The collection features animation by Studio DEEN (Fate/Stay Night, Is This a Zombie?), as well as direction by Keitaro Motonaga (Jormungand, Yumeria).

About Ah My Buddha

Sixteen-year-old Ikkou Satonaka has raging hormones that make every other boy's look simply weak in comparison. When he gets turned on, he's literally turned into a super-powerful Buddhist monk capable of vanquishing the most evil of spirits! Ikkou's parents send him to the Saienji Temple to train to become a proper monk under the watchful eye of his grandmother. One of his first challenges is to learn to control his lusty desires - but that's easier said than done when he's surrounded by a bevy of beautiful nun trainees who keep losing their clothes!
