Jeremy A. Jones - Sep 9 2007 GaoSalad@gmail.com Rating: Wonderful! Under-rated? I think so! I picked up this dvd from Rightstuf back when it was on sale for six bucks. I was in the mood for something short and sweet; Something I wouldnt have to spend fifty bucks on just to see it to the end. It was the best anime related choice I ever made. The packaging may say only four episodes, but those four are split into about six mini-episodes each, resulting in nearly 24 five minute episodes. But that isnt all, it also comes with a bonus 3D episode. While the 2D portion is mainly whackey comedy that can be watched in any order and skipped around as one pleases, the one 3D episode is all one story, and very linear. I was impressed by the original twists it put on the 'magical girl' theme, including having a much darker side to being in the lime light. I think this is probably the best comedy genre OVA (That doesnt have an accompanying TV series) and it remains a mystery to me as to why so few people check this treasure out. |
