Vash the Stampede is one of the biggest badasses ever. he is so awesome that i cant see straight anymore. buy it and enjoy his incredible telportation powers in episode2. ha ha. Well, let me say this.... it's funny in a slapstick sense and funny is some of the characters remarks about each other. Plus, when Vash isn't acting like a moron he is one bad to the bone dude. I highly recommend this DVD. De La O, Agustine - Sep 25 2000 a_de_la_o@hotmail.com Rating: "Okay." Original comedy style, however, it comes lose as the plot grows. The story has a good start with the usual hunters chasing the hunted only to find the hunted is not so defenseless. Yet, the comedy within the plot is very well used and effective in its delivery. However, I found the introduction of the insurance reps to be lose in their rolls and found them to be conflicting to the whole. The story could have done without them, yet, there they are. In the second part, the insurance reps are used more effectively but the main character is almost lost. In the end they manage to place him back into the story quite effectively, however. The third part of the story was almost lost to me as it started within a bar without any of the character in sight but, in the process, once again they manage to place the characters all in their useful positions. All in all I found the story to be very effective in comedy but as I said lose in its plot. However, this in itself gives the story a very flexible position for the next chapters to come which I might add, I am looking forward to. ryan - Nov 26 2000 NESPlayer@hotmail.com Rating: Wonderful! funny and very entertaining very nice anime. vash has got some keen sences to dodge that many bullets at once. only complaint: mostly character delopment eps. basicly just tryin to give you a feel for the characters. but, it was really good. Sephariel - Jul 25 2001 Rating: Wonderful! Trigun is Perfect! I loved this series. Unfortunately it has come to an end.. But at least I have them all so I can watch them all again.. I suggest this series to anyone who loves a great hero, Vash is the man.. There is no other! Other than the tragic death of one of the mains, it's great. I really wanted to like Trigun, it had all the makings of not just a great anime but a fantastic one. The story was good, the characters were likeable, and yet I just couldn't bring myself to liking it. Trigun's biggest fault is that it starts out with a humorous feel like it's making fun of the gun fighter genre and not taking itself seriously, however about halfway through it changes to a serious drama with comedy thrown in and it feels too forced. I found myself liking certain characters like Vash, Wolfwood, Meryl, and Milly as well as SOME of the bad guys but others were just so lame ie several of the Gung Ho Guns they seemed out of place. One of my biggest complaints is the ending itself, without spoling it I can say it is not what should have happened it seemed like a cop out. Trigun isn't a terrible series and should be watched if for nothing more than to get the viewing experience under your belt, however if you want a good space action comedy/drama watch Outlaw Star. If you want a good space action drama watch Cowboy Bebop. Recomendation wise it's up to you. C B. O - Dec 11 2002 OgieDoggie@aol.com Rating: Pretty good! Vash the Stampede - the adventure and kaos never ends If you think that you know Vash the Stampede after watching this DVD - well you don't!!! - there's ALOT more to Vash the Stampede than meets the eye, that is what makes this such a great series. And by the way I like the insurance reps ! You can't go wrong with this series if you like your Anime with lots of action with a comic twist then you'll get a real boot out of this (boot-hill that is). |
