Great Series, Dub is NOT though
This is a wonderful series yet if Media Blasters is just using the Samurai X dubbing then the story will be completely wrong.

Great series, hopefully they get it dubbed or subbed right.

A Great series with a majestic story.
A brillantily told story, You'll love how the characters of the story interact. I have all the fan subs but now that they are coming to DVD, I'm counting the days. Great series, enough said.

Great Dub & Sub
Rurouni Kenshin is one awesome anime that I suggest you pick-up immidiately. It has history, action, drama and comedy in one package! The dub voices are great (same group that did Fist of the Northstar) and match the original's script nearly identically. The only real complaint I have is they no longer call Kenshin "Hitokiri Battousai" (because that translates to "Sword-Wielding Assassin" which sounds cooler), he is now called "Battousai the Man-Slayer", but other than that, its awesome!

Awesome
It's a great series. I have seen the original 94 episodes and the OAV series. Then to see them in USA in fan subs great! Now that they are going to be in DVD I'm looking forward to them all since my some of my Japanese VHS copies aren't in the greatest quality now (from watching them over and over). My biggest bug is the English tranlation in the OAV series. The Samurai X totally destroyed it. Okita calling Saito master/teacher is wrong since the two of them are of equal rank despite the age difference. That's one example. I hope the subtitling does not make the same mistakes as the English dubbed ones.

Wow! coolness excited
I have watched Rurouni Kenshin since Toonami began showing it. I thinkt he way it is drawn and the way the English voice overs make the characters come alive is pretty swell. THe guy, whatever his name is, that plays Kenshin makes that character sooooooo cool and very handsome as well. I suggest getting the series if at all possible. and I do not have any complaints aobut it.

THE BEST ANIME EVER!
Buying this dvd is a great investment in ANY anime fans collection but be warned this seires is so good that you will just have to buy the whole seires. The animation is awesome and the voice actors are perfect for the characters. The only thing I don't like about this seires is since the seires is as long as it is poor people like me can't afford the seires so if your like and don't have enough money to buy your favorite season. My is season two The Legend Of Kyoto. Oh yeah and if you have any more questions about the seires or dvds just email me.

Oh, Kenshin, how I love you. As you have probobly guessed from the other reviews, this anime is one of the greatest Japanese animations of all time! Richard Hayworth brings the master assassin to life as the ideal samurai story unfolds (one of my favorite voice actors)! Plus it has cute girls! Miss Kaoru, Tae, and my favorite....MISAO MAKIMACHI! Take it from this anime veteren: The Wandering Samurai is awesome, The Legend of Kyoto is even better, and Tales of the Meiji sucks! (By the way, for all those morons out there, this series came out BEFORE the OVAs)

YES YES YES!!!!!!
Kenshin is my hero. I want to be just like him when I grow up :P What an awesome series. Unfortunately the Kyoto saga is SO GOOD that everything after that seems to lose a bit of it's momentum.
