Comic Party Revolution DVD 1 (Hyb): Let's Get this Party Started!
Peter Giese - Oct 11 2007 ptrgiese@yahoo.com Rating: Wonderful! The Revoultion is on. I enjoyed "Comic Party", but the OVA is super-amazing. I recently owned the first volume of "Comic Party: Revoultion" and it was awesome. My favorite episode was the Baseball episode pitting between Yuu's Inoubu Rockers led by pitcher Mizuki Takase, battling Eimi Ohba's Pretty Penguins with powerhouse outfielder Yuzo Tachikawa. There was alot of excitement in it. Though Episode 2, in which Eimi wants to go to the beach was baffling, I notice there were scenes missing from the episode, like Eimi dressed as a blond-haired beauty trying to fool the others, but Chisa nearly saw through her disguise. Another was Eimi bumping into Yuzo, and when Yuzo said "Be Careful, will you?", he was holding a pair of panties, leaving Eimi in shock. It's safe to say that episode 2 has a few scenes I mentioned which pretty much ended up on the cutting room floor. But the biggest episode out of all this was the Cosplay episode. I don't mind Mizuki cosplay Card Master Peach and Reiko cosplaying a Kyo Kusanagi parody, but it was amazing to see Reiko's original costume from the original "Comic Party" in which she made her first appearence. Overall, I give it a 9 1/4. |
