Ranma 1/2: Movie 1 DVD (Hyb): Big Trouble Nekonron China
AniMichael - Jan 18 2001 animichael@yahoo.com Rating: Wonderful! If you love comedy and action, here's 74 minutes of it! I have'nt seen the whole Ranma 1/2 series as of yet. I did see this film along with a couple of the OVAs and a couple from the Hard Battle and Anything Goes series. I fell in love. I think the idea of Ranma itself is fantastic, but the movie fits really well with someone who may be new or a hard core fan. I don't know all the characters, and it shows all of them in the opening sequence, but I do now the main characters from the other tapes I watched. But if you don't want to buy the whole Ranma 1/2 TV series, this movie, and the 2nd one are both pretty good even if you don't have the whole series. They will introduce you a little to the characters but not there origins, thats why you might want to check out at least the opening sequence of one of the OVA's. Anyway, if you enjoy anime that makes you laugh and a little kung-fu, then this film is a must. Mr. Anime Otaku - Jun 30 2002 Rating: Wonderful! Ranma 1/2 at it's best Ranma at it's best! The story and animation are very clean and pure!! I liked this one better than the 2nd movie but not by much!! Any Ranma is better than no Ranma. I recommend this one and all of Ranma to N00B's to anime and oldies. And watch out for those pickled veggies!! Jesse Hausler - Jun 18 2005 Rating: Wonderful! Over an hour of Ranma goodness! The first movie is a definite must for any and all fans of Ranma 1/2! Honestly, it's worth checking out for the hilarious opening scene alone, but it has much more to offer than that. I won't ruin the plot for you, but suffice to say that it's Ranma's biggest adventure yet. One other thing worth mentioning is that this movie really allows a lot of the secondary characters (the family, rivals, and fiancees) a chance to shine, which doesn't happen all that often in the regular series. Lastly, the soundtrack kicks butt. End of story. Anyway, I would highly recommend this to anyone with about $20 who wants to buy a great anime. With this purchase, you WON'T be sorry! |
