I Have to say i really like this anime the story line is good. But its not really new but i quite enjoyed it. i was on the edge of my seat the whole time and am mad that is ended. i want more looking forward to the next one. The charaters are quite loveable especially Apollo. Thats it i guess.

A Mech Anime I Can Like
While the characters were a little difficult to like, the beginning and ending are a little muddled and chaotic and the story wasn’t the best I’ve seen; the series managed to keep me entertained enough that I would watch the second season if it were released here. And really, with my track history with this genre I’d say that’s pretty high praise. Recommended.

looks good but . . .
Really nice mecha and character designs, great sound and music, there's quality all over the place here, but there are two problems with this show.

The first is that the plot feels too much like Getter Robo meets Evangelion. Three jets which can combine into 3 different robots with lots of biblical references. This would be forgivable if not for the second problem.

The main characters are all so annoying or down right unlikable that you'd root for the bad guys if any of them had any personality. Apollo is a complete jerk and Silva isn't much better. Reika and Pierre are a bit better, but stay in the background, and in Reika's case suffer from doubt and anxiety on par with Shinji Ikari's when she does get screen time.

I can take a good amount of self-loathing, doubt, and obnoxiousness in my heroes. Amuro Ray, Shinji Ikari, and Hitomi Kanzaki are three of my favorites, but I just wanted someone to push Apollo off a cliff.

Do yourself a favor. Watch Escaflowne instead. It's by the same director, the animation may be a bit dated, but the story and characters are better.
