If you have heard J speak, the title will make sense to you.It took me a while to pick this one up, just because the cover turned me off. I was sorry I waited so long after I popped this in. Daisuke & J are like Batman & Robin for the 21st century. Dais is a bit of a Spike Speigel clone; very suave and smart-mouthed attitude and he rarely raises his voice. He also depends upon martial arts more than guns (don't know if that was really a choice, watch the show to see what I mean). J is the straight man yet he actually has more personality than a lot of other anime characters. HE is an android, yet he is alwyas talking about how "A real man would do this."The two most interesting aspects of the story are the way lifers are punished and the irony of Daisuke's partner (pay attention). 2003 was a quality year for Pioneer / Geneon, I hope 2004 follows the same trend. This anime was fun and it was really good and i got alot of tips on wat a real man is like lol but this is really entertaining and it has lots of action with some mystery and crazy mafia members but if you like cowboy bebop then you will probally like this one also |
