Eleven months have passed since ZAFT and the Earth Alliance opened hostilities. Kira Yamato, is caught in the middle of ZAFT’s violent attempt to steal five new Mobile Suits developed by the Earth Force.

The Archangel managed to shake off Creuset's force and descend to earth, but they were set off their original course for the Atlantic Federation Headquarters in Alaska, and end up landing in North Africa, the very center of enemy territory.
