Doki Doki School Hours DVD Box Set (Hyb)

Funny enough in small doses While this Doki Doki School Hours might appeal to fans of Azumanga Daioh, you'll learn quickly that there really isn't much of a contest here over which is the better series. Both shows follow the same formula of cramming a few brief jokes into a bunch of chapters that eventually make up a whole episode. However, where Doki Doki School Hours falls short (no pun intended...) is that the characters are simply not that well developed compared to Azumanga Daioh's offerings, leaving much of the show to feel extremely predictable at times. That isn't to say there aren't a few laughs to be had here, but the show is simply best experienced a few episodes at a time, rather than watching the whole thing in a single sitting. |
