More of the same, and taht's a good thing.
You know how you buy (season/volume/version) two of an anime and it is nothing like the original? Different voices, art, storyline, stuff like that. Doesn't that piss you off? Fortunately if you feel this way then Enishi will not disappoint Ai Yori Aoshi fans. The story picks up 2 years after Kaoru was accepted by Aoi's father, yet somehow the girls at the house still don't know he is engaged to Aoi. Not surprising considering they are all loveably dim, but the comedy is very familiar which will no doubt please those who felt the first series was too short. And for those "special" otakus (the ones with the life-sized Jessica Rabbit poster on their wall), Enishi still provides plenty of fan service. So there is something for everyone; romance, comedy, and hot baths - what more could you ask for!??

Nothing has changed in 2 years !!
One of the biggest problems in Japanese Amime is in making good sequels. My example is look at the last 2 sequels to Love Hina and you will see what I mean. In a sequel the characters need to move forward in their lives and their relationships. Well none of this happens in this sequel either!! It has been two years since we last saw Aoi and Kaoru - Kaoru is now a senior in college and Aoi and Kaoru are still not allowed to touch each other in public or in the house (and they only sleep together once a year - no wonder there's such a low birth rate in Japan!). The theme of this series is suppose to be "Looking Ahead" but no one is!! If you were hoping that we would see things move ahead forget it, it doesn't happen in this new series - really too bad because I really enjoyed the orginal series.

Sweetness personified
The series doesn't advance the overall plot a great deal (if at all) but if you liked the first season you'll enjoy this. It also seems to focus more on the relationship between Aoi and Kaoru. It reminds me most of the beginning of the series when the two were discovering their relationship as opposed to later in the series when they moved into the house with everyone else.
