It has everything your basic Otaku Fangirl (or guy) could ask for ; Great music , Hot guys (and even some good looking girls) , humor and romance ! following the soon-to-be stars Suichii and his friend Hiro on the Road to Success . With the rising fandom of their band 'Bad Luck' , our duo will encounter many challeges on they're way to the top including rival band 'ASK' whos lead singer has it in for our Suichii , strange ecounters with the blond bombshell eiri yuki , who says our pink haired hottie has " Zero Talent " , a crazy gun toting manager and much more ! 13 eps. of Pure gold ! You'll laugh , your'll cry , you'll mistaken the word 'Su' for a birds nest ! watch and be amazed as Gravitation pulls you into its world of big time record deals , star-crossed yet one sided love and its ability to make your soul feel free !! I never saw the english one, but I think it would be just like the Japanese one. Shuichi Shindou falls in love with Eiri Yuki, a famous romance novelist very popular with the ladies. The story is about how these two men come together, or not? A must see for ladies, since guys might find it icky and gross. It is the best shonen-ai I have read and seen, and I know many will too :) Gemma Ballard - Apr 10 2004 Rating: Wonderful! The most perfect anime ever to have been created!! What can i say? Being a huge anime fan myself i have seen many many animes, but no matter what i see, nothing EVER beats Gravitation! It is just not possiable not to love this show!! It's funny, it's cute, it's romantic, and there's even a little angst thrown in to make the plot line thicken. Every person is different (and totally gorgeous!) with thier own characteristics which make them stand out. The music in the show is the best I've ever heard and you'll soon be singing along to it even if you can't understand Japanese! You can watch it again and again and never get tired of it. Gravitation is probably one of the funnier, moving shonen-ai's out there. The songs are catchy, the script and animation can be witty and funny, or angsty and tear-jerking. It's nice to see the characters develop on one another. Even if you hate shonen-ai (boyXboy), it's nothing so nasty or shameful. Overall, Gravitation is something you don't wanna miss. Gravitation fangirl - Apr 30 2004 Rating: Wonderful! Quality entertainment! Gravitation takes both humor and a serious storyline and mixes it together to produce a great cast of characters! Many conflicts arise with Shuichi, the main character as he struggles to find an identity for himself while he is involved in his rock band and an interesting relationship with someone of the same gender. Shuichi has a happy personality, but his new beau is the complete opposite. Because of this their attitudes conflict and arguments lead to a slew of funny moments! Each character is well defined and the visual designs are detailed too. Nothing explicit happens in the series, so unless you're adverse to watching two guys kiss, the show is a winner. Gravitation is one of the best animes I have seen in all of my Otaku years. The characters are funny, serious, sexy, or devious. There isn't a character you can hate (except the bad guy). It covers a topic rarely touched in the us and its just so great the way they presented it. Since its about a band, there is tons of music, and the songs are so upbeat and fun you want to sing along. Great and perfect This is the best anime ever created.If you are looking for the best of the bishonen then you've come to the write place. The comedy is hilarious and romantic at the same time. This anime is truly the best and i cannot wait until these episodes find their way onto American TV. All the characters you cannot forget and I look forward to Shuichi and co.! Don't be surprised if all of a sudden there are Gravitation crazes all over the United States. Maki Murikami is a genius. Although this anime doesn't contain the typical anime plots, i loved it all the same and I am sure that many will also enjoy it. Kate E. Green - Jun 14 2004 Rating: Pretty good! Gravi brought to a PG level Overall I can't say I hate this US release b/c Gravitation is one of my favorite anime but I am dissappointed. The adult humor was almost completely taken out of the anime making it suitable for kids which I think is a travesty. Also I'm not too happy with the voice acting. There were a couple of characters that I think were perhaps a little misrepresented such as Yuki, Ryu and Shuichi. Love is a rough but Beautiful thing.... I love romances, Silly love Stories and Romantic Comedies. And Gravitation is at the top of it's game. But love can be a rough and Bumpy Road especially when the Characters are having a Gay romance. But the best thing is that Yuki and Shuichi are not really Gay. You see LOVE can be Gender Blind. So in the U.S. were such things are looked down upon, it is nice that Rightstuf has enough good sense to bring over such a delight. So few company's would. I received the first episode of Gravitation with my NewType magazine. I have to admit, I thought I wouldn't be into Gravitation because it's a anime that has a romantic relationship between two men, but because TRSI raved about it, I gave it a try. This anime had what I like most about anime. Comedy, romance, and a bangin' soundtrack(love the opening song). I still can't stop thinking about what happened at the end. It makes me want to buy the first volume when it comes out. Can't wait to see the next episode. If your want comedy, music, and romance....Gravitation is what your looking for!! If you aren't enlightened enough to be able to deal with that, then obviously you won't enjoy this. Your loss. I love this show. The splicing in of live footage of streets in the first episode was a little weird...but it was only in the first episode. Things are quite a lot different from the manga, but nevertheless it is a moving exciting little show. It is the ONLY anime that has ever had me cheering out loud for the characters! Not to mention giggling like a teenager...or gasping in surprise, even crying! And laughing out loud too, this show definitly has its funny parts. The character designs are lovely. Shuichi looks adorable, Yuki looks even more divine then in the manga, Seguchi is cute, and Hiro is handsome. Loved it, only problem is getting my hands on it. This movie/show is awsome! I'm not really into pop rock (this is tecno but,..) music but the story is a classic that has a majior twist. (heh kinda like my mind) The only problem I have with this series is GETTING MY HANDS ON IT!! I had to borrow it from my friend's friend, who i've never even met. Ok this is a series that you don't want to miss. Even though there is a special relatioship between the two main characters, who really cares. I have to say that ryuichi is my favorite character because he is just so cute. This is a must see.
