The charactors are lively and well animated. The storyline is fantasticly written and follows true to the manga comics. It has come to my understanding the reason why there wasn't any continuing series after "Oh My Goddess!" was released was because animating the series was very expensive. Three's Company Japanese Style This sort of reminds me of the US TV series "Three's Company" only it's done Japanese style. Can I get some privacy Yeah, Keichi, like you'd actually move on Belldandy. Aside from the main character being too much of a puss to get with his beautiful goddess girlfriend, this is an excellent series. I wish it was longer. The story was original (even though it makes you think of Tenchi if you saw it first) and it has a perfect balance of comedy, romance and drama. My only gripe was the commentary by U.S. voice-overs track featuring voice actors Juliet Cesario, Scott Simpson, Pamela Widener and Voice Director, Scott Houlel was somewhat hard to hear. I was ,and still am, a big fan of the Oh! My Goddess manga. When I saw this title had a short OAV Series, I had to pick it up (on Dvd, of course). And man let me tell you, I'm glad I did. It was everything I expected and more. From the very beginning, I was drawn in emotionally. You'll remember the feeling you have when you watch this anime for a long time. The only problem with this series is that it's too short. It will leave you begging for more. But don't worry, there is an Ah My Goddess! movie that is out, too. It's also, very good. As good as Tenchi Muyo When I first saw the movie down at my local music and media store, which unfortunately closed recently, the cover caught my eye and I was curios what it was like so I bought it and fall in love with it the very first time I saw it, so much so that I tracked the series down on dvd and and also fell in love with it the first time I watched it. I think it is a very well developed plot, I like how each character was introduced one by one starting with Morisato Keiichi then Belldandy, Urd, then Skuld. Especially how Belldandy first appeared to Keiichi and his reaction, the whole first few scenes had me luaghing on the floor. This is truly a must see for anime lovers and the hopless romantics in us all, the series an movie are up there with the techi muyo series and movies. I loved it. Rodney T. The first 3 episodes introduce the goddesses in order: Belldandy, Urd, then Skuld, along with all the other minor characters. You will enjoy this series so much, and will keep coming back for more of it. |
