Prince of Tennis

With Shuichiro out of play, the other half of Seishun's Golden Pair faces off against Higa's Yujiro Kai in No. 2 Singles. Can Eiji bring Seishun a victory without his partner's support? The final match of the round, No. 1 Singles, pits captain against captain: Kunimitsu, in his first game back from injury, versus Eishiro "Killer" Kite.

The National Tournament moves into the quarterfinal stage, and the Seishun players find themselves pitted against their old rivals, Hyotei. Kicking things off is the No. 3 Singles match between Momoshiro and Hyotei's resident "genius," Yushi Oshitari. Will all of Momo's strength and cunning be enough to defeat the "Player of a Thousand Techniques"?

The National Tournament quarterfinals against Hyotei continue, with Kunimitsu facing power player Munehiro Kabaji. During the match Seishun's captain flashes back to his time in Kyushu and the road that led him to the Nationals. Later, it's a battle of the Golden Pairs: Ryo Shishido and Chotaro Ohtori versus Oishi and Eiji!

Shuichiro and Eiji are down 3-6 at tie break in their quarterfinal match against Hyotei's Ohtori and Shishido. With their backs against the wall, the Golden Pair unveil their final technique: Synchro. And then it's down to the No. 1 Singles match, with all of Seishun's hopes resting on Ryoma's shoulders as he struggles against Hyotei's captain, Keigo Atobe.

Ryoma and Keigo's incredible match turns into a battle of stamina and sheer will: whoever's left standing to make the last play will be the winner. Meanwhile, Fudomine's captain, Kippei Tachibana, plays his team's last quarterfinal match against Shitenhoji. His opponent is his ex-teammate, Senri Chitose. Can Kippei overcome the demons of his past and defeat his old friend?

The semifinals of the National Tournament begin! Seishun is pitted against powerhouse team Shitenhoji. The first match is No. 3 Singles, with Shusuke up against the Shitenhoji captain, Kuranosuke Shiraishi. Shusuke may be Seishun's resident "genius," but the mysterious Kuranosuke is rumored to play "perfect tennis," a game with no flaws.

Seishun's semifinal matches against Shitenhoji continue, and now it's Kaoru and Momo's turn in No. 2 Doubles. Their opponents, Koharu Konjiki and Yuji Hitoji, are highly skilled players but have a style that's a little... unusual. Next, two power players step onto the court for No. 2 Singles: Taka and Gin Ishida, the originator of Taka's Hadokyu shot. In this match of Hadokyu vs. Hadokyu, it's the last player standing who'll win!

Seishun's semifinal round against Shitenhoji continues with No. 1 Doubles, and now it's captain vs. captain as Kunimitsu and Senri square off for a fight. They're backed up by their partners Sadaharu and Hikaru... or are they?! Later Ryoma steps onto the clay against Shitenhoji's seventh-grade prodigy Kintaro, and this time neither of them are holding anything back.

Before the Seishun boys hit the courts for the final round of the Nationals, they hit the yakiniku table for an all-out barbecue blitz! When the time comes for Seishun to take on Rikkai at the tournament, Ryoma is stuck in Karuizawa! Help comes from an unexpected quarter to get Ryoma to that stadium. The first game is the long-awaited match that will ignite the perfect storm: Seishun captain Kunimitsu vs. Rikkai's Sanada!

The Nationals are coming and Seishun Academy has started training harder than ever! During practice, ace Akaya Kirihara stops by to spy on Seishun Academy's team where he bumps into none other than Ryoma Echizen, the Prince of Tennis. Pressure rises to the surface as these two ace players size each other up knowing that someday they will duke it out over the net to determine the better player!

Shusuke battles Rikkai's Nio, the tricky "Con Artist of the Court." Just when it looks like Shusuke will be able to thwart Nio's devious ploy, Nio pulls a punch that goes straight for Shusuke's weakness. Meanwhile, Momo is doing everything he can to help Ryoma overcome his amnesia in time to face the dreaded Seiichi Yukimura, aka the "Child of the Gods." Will Ryoma recover in time?

The Seishun boys are just one match away from the national title! Ryoma brings out every shot he knows against Seiichi "Child of the Gods" Yukimura, but Yukimura's strange powers cause Ryoma to lose his sense of touch, then his sight. Swinging blindly, his hearing even begins to fail. Can Ryoma come back to win the Nationals for Seishun, or does he "still have a long ways to go"?!
