Now the real fun begins!!!
I so wish the story was longer.....In this DVD the story line starts to turn form light to dark. Longing and destiny set in motion the fortellings of Zod the Immortal to Guts that fateful day so long ago. Casca's realizes that her eyes and desires have been fixed on Guts more than on Griffith as of late. And the big event happens. 'Get up....It's just a small pebble in the road....You'll be fine.' What a great line.

The action is sparse, but the story starts to get deep and the characters really start to change. I LOVE THIS ANIME!!!!

Happy Viewing.

downtime
I have seen episode 1-25\subs and there is just know way that there is only 26ep. Anyway I just can’t wait for Berserk # 5 to come out in dub. I was just looking at the first episode of Berserk on DVD and do anyone remember gutz setting next to a tree? As gutz set waiting, things around him start to change and we see different images. I knew at that point how deep and creepy the rust of the series would be. I do have to admit episode 18-21sub has a lot of down time. (Why not enough killing for.) But in the next episode 22-26sub there is so much blood I love it. I hope when episode 22-26 is release by Anime Works, that the DVD is not water down like all the other episodes.

Hell
I don’t have much to say about Berserk # 5, accept that it set up the mood of Berserk # 6. Berserk # 6 is to die for. Griffith became a traitor and Midland really F up him. When the gang goes to rescue Griffith, they see that Griffith is known longer the man that he used to be. Cry for your favored creator, because this is when they start to die. As we all know, Griffith’s men are dedicate to him. But when the Band of the Hawks follows Griffith to hell, is that not going too fore? Griffith is on the edge of life and death and for him to live everyone else as to die. I do have to admit that the hell seen is one of the darkest movie that I have every seen.

Ohh... I am hoping for more
This was indeed a wonderful and exciting title. I wasn't quite sure what to expect when I picked up this anime series at blockbuster one night, but it turned out to quite good, aside from all the bloodshed, a bit too much for a girl like me, but the storyline and plot was pretty good so I over looked the excessive bloodshed. I saw the rest of the series subtitled in English. The first episode is a bit confusing when 1st started watching the series, but it kind of tied in with the last episode. The whole series revolves around Gatz(main character) past relationship with a mercenary group he joined called The Band of the Hawks. The story mostly focuses on Gatz relationship with the leader of the group Griffith(who has his on problems?) and the only women in the group who is 2nd in command named Caska(who seems to dislike Gatz?...hmmmm). These are basicly the main 3 characters and the story focuses on the trials and tribulations with the royal government. This series tasks place during a kind of medievel time period and there is alot of war battles and killing, especially from Gatz. This series is definately not for kids. There is alot of graphic violence, scenes of attempted rape of women, emphasis/attempted raping of children, nudity, mild language and sexual situations. My only problem was the way the series ended. For those who has seen the whole series know what I am talking about. It kind of leaves you wondering is that it? I hope there is an episode 26 to Berserk... I would like to know what happens next? But aside from that, this is a must see for anime fans of RPG or war-theme anime series. I give the series an 8.5 out of ten. Would have gave a 10 but the ending leaves unanswered questions.. I still would buy this series though ^-^

Why
Um, wil the animation is great, I mean that Media Blasters done a great job showing the blood and stuf. But the only thing that suck was the English dubbing. The subtitle is short and to the point with feeling. On the other hand, English dubbing is too wording and dry. I don’t know why Media Blasters try to play around with wording for Berserk 5, but the only thing that MB end up doing is f up the English dubbing of Berserk 5.

I love berserk to bad thee anime was just a promo 4 the manga but either way its good while it lasted finally a series anime that doesn't go of into extreme theories (evangilion, serial experiments lain) where the characters are serious not the situations so much watch it enjoy it.

The best one to date!
I don't care what others say about this Berserk, I loved it! I have waited so long for the two characters,Gutz and Caska to get together. I wish that scene 22 could have been a lot longer! The only part that dragged was episode 20, but the rest of the DVD was primo. I like the fight scenes just as much as anyone else but they can't and should'nt battle all the time. The human side and personal struggles of the main characters and supporting characters was superb. I wish that instead of episode 20 being about Gutz being away that it would have shown how the others were dealing with his departure, especially Caska and Griffith. Volume 5 was so good that I'm looking for the graphic novel on Berserk on my next day off.
