Students at Tsuna's school are being attacked, and it's up to Tsuna and Reborn - on orders from the ninth generation boss of the Vongola Family - to figure out why and take the culprit down. Then it's time for a lunch break, featuring the ever-deadly cuisine of Bianchi, who has a lesson in love to teach. But the big surprise is Tsuna's discovery that a member of his "family" has become a turncoat!

Sapporo has become overrun with thousands of athletes all thirsting for the chance to come out victorious in Japan's National Basketball Championships. The Jonan High School varsity basketball team has beat the odds in getting there, but they'll soon learn that playing against neighborhood kids pales in comparison to the kind of game the championships will give them.

It's halftime in the big game and the score is 43 to 34 with Kana Kita in the lead! But things go from bad to worse as Yuza dazzles the crowd with his dynamic dribbling, dunking and defense. Can Nate and Sawamura get in their groove and make some spectacular plays of their own in spite of Sawamura's injured arm? Or will it be time for Johnan to throw in the towel?

With the tournament over for Johnan, the team says goodbye to its fans, and then spends a day at the beach Johnan-style! Crazy antics ensue as the guys find out Kasahari works there for a summer job, Miz loses her top, Shurman is seen on a date and the crew faces ghosts from the hot springs!

When the team boards a plane heading for the tournament, they try to loosen up by taking their antics with them. With dozens of teams in the competition, one loss will send the loser packing. Tensions run high - who will come out victorious and be declared the best of the best?

The Winter Cup is about to start in Tokyo and Tomomi has to be ready for the competition. She is so excited to see Nate again that focusing on the game is becoming increasingly difficult. Will Nate's moves - on and off the court - be enough to move Tomomi in his direction? Seems like Nate may be facing some double dribble-action for the big game!

Felicia is set to play Seijo at the Winter Cup Tournament, but soon after the game starts, Hiroko starts acting strangely. Coach Miyauchi has a surprise for the team and it doesn't look good. Nate and Masaki team up to save the game for Felicia! Nate finally kicks his insecurities to the curb. Will Tomomi finally see him for who he really is?

Kobayashi and Sawamura are getting along even worse than ever, and Nate comes up with a scheme to make Sawamura see that Kobayashi cares about him, even though he doesn't show it. When Jonan can't win because of the low average scores of the subs, Nate rounds everyone up every morning for extra practice time, which ends up paying off - but at what price?

In the thick of the game, Kobayashi sinks another two pointer and puts the Jonan team back in the running against the favorites from Okinawa. But the Okinawa team is tough, and they play a rough game - but enough is enough.

The Johnan High basketball team must address some unresolved emotional conflicts before they face their archrivals from Tsukuba High. Things seem to be getting better when Nate recognizes Sawamura's long lost father working as a doorman in Sapporo.

It's finally here: the big game against Nango Daitsukuba High School in Ibaraki... the team that knocked Johnan out of the tournament in the first round last year. Johnan has already beaten Kyan Marine Industry High School in the first round and are coming into the second round with a little more confidence...
