What ninja fighting really should be!
Basilisk is an exciting high paced Romeo (Gennosuke) and Juliet (Oboro) action packed love story. If you want a great story (that can sometimes bring you close to tears), heart pounding action and a great price (30 for this series is a STEAL!) look no further than Basilisk. Each disc also includes (2) interviews with the Japanese VA cast (each one lasts about 20 minutes), as well as a booklet containing interviews with cast and creators of the series.

...Giving you chills...
Okay I brought this and never really thought about how this anime was going to be like except action and romance but when I finally got it and watch it, I was totally caught, caught by it's innocent story. I can't tell you how much I love this series, I mean every episode just keeps giving me chills and I was shaking. By the time I came to realize what I was doing, I was shouting in my room at the characters, the shock of what's happening and it just keeps pulling me into it's world. The world of Basilisk. I recommend this serie to those that like watching action, slice of life, and love. "To the one I love, prepare to die." If you haven't heard or watch Basilisk, buy this and get it. Watch it once in your life time. The money is worth it, believe me I know because I watch alot of anime. Any way if you do decide to get this anime, I hope you like it as much as I like it. Thanks for reading my review.

This series is absolutely amazing throughout. Lots of interesting characters aside from the main characters, with mysteries revealed in astonishing final episodes. All the details of the story get tied together and provide a great revelation and conclusion.

True to the historical definition of ninja and ninpou, as well as the brutality of feudal times; a true picture of human nature in all its aspects, from high ideals to outrageous treachery.

All I can say is WOW. Beautifully drawn characters, different from mainstream and much more like traditional art, wonderful acting (I didn't watch it in English, only in Japanese), the music is outstanding (one of my pet peeves is bad music), and the graphics for the menus are also quite excellent.

This is an adult series, with scenes and events that you might not want your kids to watch. I would rate it for 17 yrs and older.

Thanks for reading.

Feudal Japan at it's best!
I like Samuari movies alot and this anime title has it all. The music, the battles, and the characters there all great. Plus, for such a low price it was a steal for the complete series. I recommend this title to anyone interested in sword fights and a good anime series.
