dash your money
This DVD proved that remakes of the original story have a very good chance of falling flat on thier faces. Story line and art work are not up to ADV other current series.

Totally disagree with the kid above me
First of all, how often does a TV version of an OVA or movie vary at least slightly from the original? Almost always - look at the Ninja Scroll DVD, Jubei is considerably more buff than in the movie and Dakuan seems like he's given up on his plan to kill Jubei at the capital. Anyway, this show is hysterical. And contrary top what the other guy said, all the major plot points are there: The love/hate relationship between Ryunoske's parents, the two destructively stupid chicks that work with his mom and his mom's schemes to capture Nuku Nuku. If you liked the original, you'll like this series.

This really add's to the world of Nuku Nuku
The best part about DASH is to see how different it is form the TV series and the Ova’s. I like the fact that Ryunoske is 14 when the series starts and 22 at the end. Nuku Nuku is 19 when the series starts, and grown up with a body of a young woman. I do wish they would have spent more time on the relationship between the Nuku Nuku and Ryunoske. And here feelings for each other. There where a lot of plot changes in DASH form the TV series and the OVA’s. If you liked the TV series and Ova’s you will like DASH very much. It really adds to the Nuku Nuku world. Also on a side note how can not like anything that Megumi Hayashibara (Nuku Nuku, Lime, Lina….) is in.

Could have been better
After the origional Nuku Nuku finished they should have left well enough alone. Dash sucked, simple as that.

Cat Girl Nuku Nuku is probably my favorite Megumi Hayashibara character
The 'All-Purpose Cultural Cat Girl Nuku Nuku' title was my first ever Megumi Hayashibara title. Her voice (and the character) was the cutest I have ever heard at that time. 'Nuku Nuku Dash' is kind of like a reboot of 'All-Purpose Cultural Cat Girl', and it has a somewhat more mature - but not necessarily better - feel to it. While I would watch any Megumi Hayashibara title, I would have prefered that they extended the original title instead of doing a reboot.
