Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz DVD (Hyb)
Brett - Dec 27 2000 Trowa69@homestead.com Rating: Wonderful! I loved this movie I am a fan of the show and was dying to see this movie ever scence I heard of the customs, Mostly the H-arms custom. (it amazing how many weapons he can cram on that thing!!!!) The movie when it premired on Toonami did not disapoint me at all. This movie dosnt really have the best plot but it makes up in animation. This is literally the best animation ive ever seen in my entire life (havents seen many anime so if theres better dont say anything.). My fav scene is when the Wing-Zero Custom is finaly activated, its tight. The soundtrack is allright, my favorite would have to be White.IT IS WORTH IT . If you could watch any anime in the world it would be this one This was and is and will forever be one of the the best anime movies to ever come from Japan.I am a big fan of Dragonballz but this is as good as all the movies put together.Its a real pity that after Endless Waltz the charracters that we have grown to love like Heero, Duo , Wufei, Quatre ,Trowa etc are never seen again as GundamX is the next series after Endless Waltz but if there was ever going to be a way to leave in style then this is your movie.Definately one to watch and to buy. I only saw this japanese anime oav once so how the heck do you exspect me to do an review on it ????? Well anyways.....It was really awsome..I just wish there was a little more romance between releena and heero.Maybe there will be somesort of gundamwing reunion get together comic or something with the gundamwing characters.....that would rock on!!!! blondi - May 2 2001 Rating: Wonderful! It's all about the movie version Gundam pilots, united for one final battle! I had watched the OAV version of the Endless Waltz on Toonami, and it seems like something was missing--and I was right! The DVD is awesome, it includes both the OAV version AND the movie version. The movie version contains additional scenes which tie the movie together (the OAV was a bit too jumpy). SO DON'T BUY THE OAV VERSION ON TAPE! My only complaint is in the different music used for each version. The OAV plays "White Reflection" (by Two-Mix, the original theme group) twice, and the first time it seems a bit too energetic, but the second time the same song is used it's perfect. Unfortunately, the movie version plays "Last Impression" (TwoMix) everywhere "White Reflection" was used in the OAV. It's perfect for the 1st replacement, but fails to capture the energy of the ending. Perhaps the coolest thing about this DVD (besides getting two versions, each with two different language tracks) is that the ending shots are TOTALLY DIFFERENT! I loved the charaters all had different emotions that would show in their actions. The movie is a perfect ending to the series it ties everything together. This movie or the serises shows how Gundam in Genreal has influenced anime and telivision. If you are just an anime movie watcher this is a great one to start out with. |
