Cosplay Encyclopedia DVD (S) LiveAction
Timothy P. McKann - Mar 9 2005 Wingzero586@aol.col Rating: Wonderful! Best film ever What I think about this film, it's pretty cool. These folks today like to cosplay as their favorite charcter from any anime or video game. I think it is cool to dress up for any con. We all like to dream big about what we want to go as for any con. I think today, it's what some people want to do. If there is a cosplay encyclopedia 2, I would send them a picture of me as any character from any series or game along with my email address and which con I'll be attending. Then they would come to interview me and I would tell them everything. So in closing, add this DVD to your collection. You will see what I mean. Erika P. Concepcion - Sep 22 2006 bluexbby99@yahoo.com Rating: "Okay." Not bad, but not so good either This DVD really ruined my hopes. It is pretty insightful but it's mostly just interviews of cosplayers. Not only is it mostly interviews but they are from about ten years ago or 1996 and seem to have many repetative characters and don't ask consistant questions that you may or may not want to know. The whole "costume design secrets" aren't really the best tips especially for the price. I mean there are some interesting facts and it's nice to see lots of these cosplayers and it's amazing to see what they can do in such a short amount of time and money, but this is in Japan, and ten years ago. If you like seeing cosplayers and watching cosplayers and want to learn more about cosplay then this is for you. But if you're trying to learn to sew or how to really just put together a costume or something this is not for you. It never really goes into detail on how to do anything really, I mean if you really want a tutuorial type feel and tips and secrets on sewing or where to buy cosplay costumes, then this is just not the DVD to turn to. Jet Taylor - Mar 2 2008 Rating: Pretty good! Not So Bad Well, the DVD is old (I must admit) but it isn't horrible. The interviews are rather amusing in my opinion. The costumes may be "old", but it's interesting to see how long each costume took and what the person who made it and/or is wearing it thinks of it. Besides, I see a lot of people still going out with those costumes! They're classic! Thumbs up, I say. |
