Joe is a young man with no home, no purpose, and almost no friends... though he does have a very special cat. In life, Majeh was a gifted swordsman. In death he acts as a reaper for the King of Hell, collecting souls of the dead to bring them to the netherworld. All this changes when a rift opens up between Hell and Earth and evil spirits begin escaping to the mortal realm. Now Majeh must hunt down and destroy these demons before the rift is permanently opened.

Time to spill the beans! After pretending to be killed by the Shegwes, Majeh and the others have discovered that the So-gak group has sent them on a wild goose chase and is also responsible for the fighting between the blacks and whites. So-gak isn't their only problem... the doorway to the demon world has been opened and all "hell" is about to break loose.

As the battle between the black and white martial arts sects continue, Majeh must put an end to the fighting. Those orchestrating the battle are revealed and an onslaught of invincible zombies is released. As old friends and enemies are resurrected as new opponents, will Majeh and the remaining warriors be able to overcome the challenge or join the ranks of the undead?

The Three Insane Hounds run amok and cause some serious havoc amongst the zombie horde. Crazy Dog - suddenly unable to discriminate between the blacks and whites - goes on a killing spree. Meanwhile, Majeh senses the Energy of the Next World and must return to the battlefield at once.

Dohwa returns to her home to get a great power whip. Dohwa has flashbacks to her childhood years. Dowha felt guilty for her actions, so she disappeared! She needs the whip to help Majeh and Chung Poong. The masters of the school tell Dohwa she needs to win over the demon in the whip. She must face evil spirits in the form of a gigantic spiders and a two-headed snake to save Majeh.

This volume of King of Hell picks up on Raven Ghost Island, where the group must be able to overcome themselves before they face an even greater evil!

Majeh faces Jin Song and a vicious demonic wolf. As the battle ensues, Cerberus vows death before allowing Moon Ju escape. Chung Poong, Dohwa, and Young are needed in this hellish battle. Will they be able to put an end to Moon Ju's wrath? It seems like the King of Hades has the answer and isn't afraid to give it to them!

While Majeh fights Mo Young, one of the escaped fiends, Cerberus transforms into his original form. Majeh and company must defeat the fiends and head back to Moorim Headquarters. The Martial Arts Leader has a mission for Majeh and company. Will they survive the fiends' attack and be strong enough to handle the dangers of the Gobi Desert?

As Majeh and company journey to the Gobi desert in search of the Insane Hounds, we learn more about Majeh's past. Why is his master at the Dawn of Taoism hunting him down? And why are his friends trying to kill him? Is this the end for Majeh?

Majeh reveals more of his past and how he became such a strong fighter. The group continues to follow the Insane Hounds through the desert and finally arrive at the Sa Gok headquarters. Will they be able to rescue the kidnapped martial artists - or is it too late?

Majeh is forced to fight an old enemy who has been plotting revenge against him for 300 years. Meanwhile, three men who we learn are responsible for creating the rifts between This World and the Next World continue to plot and scheme.
