Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion DVD Complete Season 1 (Hyb) - Anime Legends
Recent reviews of titles here: Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Blu-ray (Hyb)S Mills - Jun 16 2013 Rating: Wonderful! A must have on blu ray You do not have to be a fan of the game to enjoy this movie! As for any FFVII fan, if you have only seen the original on DVD you don't want to miss out on the blu ray!! The blu ray version has added and extended scenes, there have been some dialogue re-dos(slight) and extended scenes with more explanations and more insight into some of the characters. The best part is the extended battle sequences, especially pertaining to Sephiroth and Clouds battle. Its almost like watching an entirely new movie, you won't be disappointed! Sword Art Online (S.A.O) Blu-ray Box Set 1: Aincrad Part 1 (Hyb) Limited Ed. Max P. Sterling - Jun 17 2013 Rating: Wonderful! Very nice series but. I love this series and have been wanting it to be released here for a long time now. And finally its here but..... I refuse to pay 89.98 for something I have already seen. I can only hope and pray that they release it with out that box set. I used to buy these things all the time but over the years I wind up keeping the disks and the box and the books and all that crud that comes with it get trashed. I don't want nor do I need that stuff. so please I am begging.. Pleading please for the love of all that is right holy and just in this whole release it in a thin pack with out that stuff. as to the anima as I said it is so great I want it so bad. plus I want to hear how the dubbed it. did they get good voice actors. but even if so I am to use to the Japanese voices I think I will still watch it with subs. It is a great buy for any one that loves on line games and anima. the idea that you could get stuck in a game that you can die in the real world if u die in game is kind of frightening in a way. no save points. no second chances. you fight and live or you die. S.A.O is a rock solid anima I recommend it whole heartedly Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky Blu-ray (Hyb) Jonathan Sieveking - Jun 17 2013 jfs_87@hotmail.com Rating: "Okay." Pretty good action After watching a trailer (AKA the opening theme) for this film on another Sentai release, I was rather interested in watching this. The action looked pretty cool, I liked the character designs, but I didn't know much about the story. I did a little research and it turns out this is based on a video game series. I bought Tales of Vesperia First Strike without having played any of that game and didn't feel lost (however I don't recommend that film), so I decided to buy The Legend Of Heroes. Not long after hitting play, I really feel lost. I have no idea who these characters are or why I should care about them. This movie seems to be made for those that enjoyed the game. As such, any story driven scenes just make me feel even more out of place. What's even more out of place? Giant robots in a seemingly medieval era. The theme music kind of bugged me. It sounded like the song from Castle in the Sky. It didn't help that there are air ships in this movie. The movie does have two good things about it, and that's what the opening showed, the action and the eye pleasing character designs. The fights are easy to follow and show that the characters have been at this for a while. Had I played the game, I may have found more enjoyment of the film. As an outsider, I just didn't care about the story at all. I'd like to hear an opinion from someone who has played the game first. |
