Make no mistake that Black Lagoon is one wild ride, and by all means pick this one up if you haven't. What I don't understand is why Funimation is doing a Blu-ray/DVD combo of this. I already own the DVD version, but the fact I this is a combo pack, and Funimation had previously released a complete DVD Collection doesn't make sense why this is a combo pack. This should be a straight up Blu-ray release only, I don't need another DVD version. By all means if you don't own Black Lagoon in any format go for it, otherwise ask yourself, do I need another DVD version, when it was the Blu-Ray I wanted all along?

Rating: Pretty good!
If this won't get your blood boiling I don't know what will
I didn't discover this anime until recently and when I saw it was being released on BR I HAD to get it. I absolutely love this anime! It's action packed with great chase scenes (car and boat), gun fights, women who kick all kinds of ass, and some pretty awesome characters. My ONLY complaint, and I mean ONLY, is that I hate Revy's voice in the dubbed version. It's completely ruined. I seriously can't stand to watch the dubbed version. Which disappointed me. But in all honesty it's just my opinion on the matter. Don't let that stop you from buying and enjoying a wild ride that won't just be another dust collector on the shelf. This is an anime you can watch again and again.

Best. Anime. EVAR.
I don't know what has me more excited: the fact that FUNimation saved this from the annals of Geneon's vault after they went belly up, or just the face that it exists at all! From the very first scene you know you're in for a good time, and thankfully the action never lets up for a second. I mean if modern day pirates, Neo Nazis, gunrunning nuns, bullets plenty Terminator-like super maids, and one of the baddest gunslingers mamas EVER don't get you excited, then you're clearly looking for entertainment in the wrong place, my friend.
The whole things looks fantastic in HD, and with better audio quality than its DVD counterpart all the guns and explosions and profanity are all the more satisfying. My only complaint is that all the Omake shots STILL aren't included, even if they aren't dubbed, but that's just me. This is still hands down one of the absolute best anime in existence and should be enjoyed by everyone (18 and older)!
