Steins;Gate DVD/Blu-ray Part 1 (Hyb) Limited Edition
Cole Cronin - Jul 30 2012
This is quite possibly the best anime of the previous years, not including Madoka Magica. An anime like Steins;Gate only comes out once every few years, and when it does, it deserves attention.
The plot may sound simple, even stupid to some. A Microwave Time Machine is invented by the mad scientist "Hououin Kyouma" (AKA Obake) and his lab members. They discover that the machine gives them the ability to send text messages into the past, which they soon use to their advantage, as well as to the advantage of others. But for some reason, Obake is the only one who retains his memories whenever the past changes.
The show stars off amazing for about six or so episodes, however it does slack off after that until the moment episode 12 hits, where you are on the edge of your seat marathoning the entire series.
The show itself has a good mixture of both comedy and drama, both in the same episode. The main character really makes this series worth it every bit of the way. The only real downside to me is those few episodes up until the plot spirals out of control and them changing the past adds up.
There are very few shows about time travel itself, shows like Doctor Who only use time travel to get from one place to another, however Steins;Gate is about time travel itself, making it a rare and unforgettable journey.

Hands down.. A Must Watch Anime!!!,
First of all I did not know about this anime until my friend suggested it to me. I watched it with my friend doing an all nighter anime run and found the series to be boring.. I know.. So I held the anime off until a couple months later after finishing Shiki (Great horror series!).
Anyhow, I then started watching Steins; Gate again and then fell in love with it (I can't watch anime with others, it just makes it boring for me) This anime is just fantastic. Comedy, romance, complex/witty, and adventurous. I actually had this anime on my most favorite as number two... beating another favorite of mine or everyone's favorite, FMA and FMA: Brotherhood (And of course Clannad is number 1)
As soon as I saw the limited up for pre-order even with it's almost $43 price tag and being a part 1 of a 13 episode series; I just loved this series so much that I couldn't resist but purchase it. It's a very memorable series and made me cry too! This is a must watch anime for any fan as I won't get into too many details on the storyline.
Until next time.... ~~tuturu!... HOUIINNN KYOOUUMMAA!!!... KURISSUUTINNAA!!!
